Yet to the contrary, all of us gamers seem to unanimously agree that women are not accepted in the community. *Furthermore*, Frog A came to the ‘popular’ belief that games were meant to be enjoyed, when in actuality, there is no joy in the way of the gamer. Finding enjoyment in a video game, as a matter of fact, seems to be some sort of heresy, and should be punishable by relentless doxxing. P8trioticPaxl00n's analysis of "Unpopular Gaming Opinion" (Goobus, 2022) correctly identifies important thematic elements viz. the unreasonable comforted by the unreasonable world. Frog B, whose attitude and opinions may be most generously described as "churlish", is raised to the status of 'everyman'. Frog A, who more closely follows expected norms, is castigated as a pretender ("not even a real gamer!") with severe and imminent consequences for his violation of expected norms ("I'm going...to encourage my audience to doxx you...*and they're gonna do what they're gonna do, bro). The "gamer" community as depicted by Goobus reveals a world of shocking disagreeability, in which contempt for the other (especially gender contempt) is not only encouraged but required; a belonging group whose primarily emotional diktats are anger and disgust. Yet the thematic analysis of roles-reversal is, I feel, secondary to a wider and more troubling truth; that expectations of norms vary wildly between cultures and belonging-groups, even to such an extent as to violate the norms of the wider culture. We can imagine that those adherents to the mystery cults of Athens and ancient Alexandria would feel quite at home in this modern discourse--yet more troubling still is the reach of these belonging groups as facilitated by the internet. Whereas even the most popular of Dionysian revelry cults were held back by geographic and communication limits, today's belonging groups have no such limitations. The entire weight of the Good Nation's, across all continents, might bear itself down on a hapless Frog A for the unforgivable crime of liking a game.

With all the anti-gamer propaganda, I'm not surprised. Did you know that less than five percent of self proclaimed "gamers" are against women being in gaming? The majority doesn't care as long as we aren't bad at the game and many are willing to help out, with a few exceptions that have to do with certain games. It's the over the top "gamer bros" that end up getting all the attention and make the others ashamed to have the title of "gamer". Like how some people think that all gay people are activist extremists even though most are relatively normal people that would rather not take sides or are pretty in the middle. This is a little preachy but it's a topic that hits home for me and I just wish we could get along okay and not base our views on the small fraction that spoils things for everyone
@@sleepykitty8918 Honestly the fact that people call themselves "gamers" is sad. Gaming is supposed to be a hobby, not an identity. It doesn't really matters if you are a man, a woman or even what kind of games you play, if you want to play games then just fucking do it and if you don't then just fucking don't. I'm so sick of "MUH politics" contaminating everything I enjoy, I just want to relax after having a stressful day god damn it.
I was playing metroid today. And surprisingly i got lost and confused, i died a lot and just kept going in circles. Gaming can either be really fun or just tedious. Not every game is for everyone. I still like the game but i had a hard time with it lol. Games aren't always about fun but about the accomplishment. The little experiences and cool rewards for pushing forward also help make it fun and having more options as you progress.

G4 was so dumb -_- Frosk was like a crystalization of every ignorant person that has no idea what gaming culture is and refuses to note that the overwhelming majority of people who like games are actually accepting of us. She used accusations of "sexism" and "misogyny" to try and explain why some modern games are unpopular and never once stopped to think that the mainstream media has an agenda to push and isn't a good source of information in these things or that women hate the bull just as much as men. I'm sorry for ranting. It's just that the stigma that gamers are anti-women has been around for some time and I've only experienced anti-women sentiments a handful of times in all the years I've been playing. It reminds me of how some people think all poor people are stupid or all of a certain group are evil

@@lizardguyNA All gamers know that the game part is only optional, the real requirement is hating minorities.
@@vroomkaboom108 Ah good, this is a dumb joke. Thanks for confirming.
@@lizardguyNA Says who? 🗿
it seems the tall frog seems to be the only normal person on this channel
Geeks & Gamers in a nutshell
YES! I live for this to be a mini series
requirements to be a gamer
- hate minorities
- play games (optional)
gonna be honest, i had my playback speed at 1.5x speed without realizing and for some reason it made this way funnier just because of fast the whole thing was going
I'm starting to get the impression that Goobus doesn't have a very high opinion of gamer culture.
Thankfully, neither do I!
Neither do I too!
@@loren5432 I like your stance on it. If more people took that stance it would make things a lot better
Frog one lives...
In your walls
This is the most accurate implied depiction of "The Gamers(TM)" I have ever seen.
Frog A lives at 1223 froggy river 32356 Columbus OH. It has two Lilly pads on his front yard, you can't miss it.
i love how each funny vid he makes has a genuine message behind i
i love when people make videos about Frogger: Ancient shadow!
Gamekanda Forever!
Gotta love that airless, honk-like 'help' at the end
YES MORE GAMER FROGS
Bruh I was reading the description while re watching the video and 0:28 caught me so off guard! 🤣🤣 "Game-kanda"
As a woman, I can indeed confirm that we are not gamer.
I love that this is a potshot at G4.
Unpopular Gaming Opinion, I liked Metroid: Other M along with Splatterhouse (2010).
Now I want to know what game Frog A likes.
G4 was so dumb -_-
Frosk was like a crystalization of every ignorant person that has no idea what gaming culture is and refuses to note that the overwhelming majority of people who like games are actually accepting of us.
That's fine if you like other m. Just not the game for me.... BUT SPLATTERHOUSE?!?! HELL YEAH BABY! PAINT THE WALLS RED~!
Alright Doob Goob Army! You know what to do! If that frog had his way, ANYBODY would be allowed into our tree house! Even well adjusted people who casually enjoy video games sometimes! WE CANNOT ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN!
I’m depressed at how accurate this is lately…
I'm ecstatic
Sorry, but I have rewatched the Gamekonda forever ( 0:28 )part maybe 25 times, and it still cracks me up. This is a problem because I am sick, and everytime I laugh, I can feel all my organs failing. But it’s worth every organ.
That poor little frog just wants to enjoy video games. Stay alive little guy
I love that it’s frog A and frog 2, instead of frog A and B or frog 1 and 2
And heaven forbid you also dislike a game that everyone says you're required to love even if it's not really your thing.
Love how the subtitles say
" do i have to f**king undo you"
I can't get over how amazing the voices in this are, they're amazing!
I can guess that the game the frog at the end was talking about is either a recent-ish Sonic game that’s not Generations, Mania or Frontiers, or Pokémon Scarlet/Violet.
Could be Xenoblade 3, Elden Ring, or God of War: Ragnarok, for all we know.
@MrAuthor3DSSwitch But it’s a popular opinion to like all three of those. Although the joke here is basically that people that actually play video games instead complaining about them + “girl cooties” are not REAL gamers, so maybe you’re right. Maybe Frog 1 was in the Catch-22 position where saying he liked ANY game would have gotten him doxxed by DG4.
You painted the image of Screw Attack so vividly...
I believe you mean Death Battle.
Those chumps quit being mildly interesting years ago.
"Hey guys, don't dox the frog please! I put this at the end for 2 frames cause i really don't want you to read this. I hope you can miss it and dox him anyway,AND I can deny the responsibility by having this here. REALLY tear him to shreds!"
