Beautiful modern romantic. It shows so much of a bassoon’s character.

Pardon my ignorance but at 2:03 why does it say BRAHMS in between the grand staff of the piano part?

      It's name of each notes:
      B - b-bemol (European)
      R - re
      A - a
      H - b (European)
      M - mi
      S - Es

rather funny actually as written more like Baroque in 12-tone- absolutely nothing in it that sounds remotely romantic or like Brahms. 3 vs 4 game is more often found in Handel or Gluck than Mozart and rarely in Romantics (maybe Wolf). Strauss uses it in Frau ohne Schatten. Alban Berg on mushrrooms.
