- How I started making Wheelborn -
a short indie exploration beat ‘em up adventure, set in a world where the Wheelborn, car-like creatures with a unique lifecycle, face corruption.

This is an AMAZING concept, as a very novice storyteller in his mid-20's, it is super awesome to see someone else hold onto a childhood memory and turn it into something new!

I need to know how their biological wheels work.
Like i would love to see a full anatomy view of their wheels inside and out with an explanation for how they spin and how they connect to the rest of the body.
I love this, we need more games made by freaks for freaks, you are a freak for these wheel creatures and i love it.
The 2d sketches you showed are so fun and creatively designed

The world building somehow reminds me of Bionicle, maybe it's the part-machine creatures in a supernatural world, but with wheels instead of masks
The "breeding via death" reminds me of WH40K Orks

I really loved Bionicle and also Slizers when I was little :) Yeah, the concept is pretty dark when you think about it. Gald you like it!
6 years ago now ive encountered one of the developers of Runimalz, a phygital based game with animal-shaped cars. It reminds me of that game, and i took so long to find it on the internet 😂 there are also toy cars compatible with the game itself

WOW, just wow! The artstyle alone in the first 5 seconds hooked me right away. The creature designs, shaders, colors and animations remind me of Slugterra (if anyone still remember that atleast). This might be an unpopular opinion, but I love how you've shown that it's not just a dream or a concept but rather an already moving project. Project that I would like to follow from now on!

Wow, the leap in complexity from Don't Wake God to Wheelborn is...insane. I'd love to hear about how you approached such a larger scope of a project after the experience of the previous one, and also how you do it while working a full time day job! That's frikken inspiring man
Thank you so much! It might seem like a giant project, but actually Wheelborn is not that big of a game. It is not Witcher 3 or Elden ring, but more like Firewatch or in some ways, Outer Wilds. But, of course, I'll be glad to talk about that :) Thank you again

In a world where we can't make unique concepts because of "everything has been done already", I really envy you. Such a cool concept sure it maybe weird to play but it's cool plot nonetheless. Is the game is just about wheelborns fighting or is there more to the game? Are cars the only race of wheelborn? Is there any bosses other than Dark Shaman? I think a human boss would be a good idea where he is bound to wheelchair. In a world of wheelborn, he is an eldritch or God like being compared to cars
