Wasn't it great when all cars were nice and simple like this and you had half a chance of working out what was going on. Didn't hear from Dawn in this latest offering so hope she is good to go and looking forward to another year of classic car bumbling. Ciao.
I've had my MK1 Sprite on the road since July '23 after a 32 month rebuild project. I've taken a bit of inspiration from your channel for what I can do next on my own! Once you start looking it's amazing the interesting places you can find close to home. Thank you.
I love your videos; very entertaining. I grew up in Lancaster and my uncle drove MGs and Jags. Today I live in the USA and drive a Mazda MX5. Sports car fun!
When I picked up my 71 Midget and drove it home (a 3 day drive) in April, the last day was steady rain and about 34 F (1 C) and I didn't know I had to turn on the heat! BRRRRR!
@@themustardmidget Yeah, although I've found that with our car, when the temperature is below freezing, the heater just can't keep up and blows 50 F air on us through those flaps. I'm guessing the core needs flushing or replacement.
Happy New Year. I'm a 77 Midget owner as of a few weeks ago. Could you please explain the purpose of opening that valve tap in the engine bay. Mine is seized shut and looks to have been for some time
Happy new year to you too. The valve controls the coolant passing through the heater , in summer the hot water is not needed to pass through , check out an earlier video where I free ours off.
@@themustardmidget drain well, mix in a handful of small bits of celery, maybe a little diced onion, mix in some mayo, slap it on any bread at all. Sometimes lettuce. There's a few "salads" people might make with tuna, either hot or cold, that could have bowtie shaped pasta, and green peas.
@@themustardmidget also, I have a 77 Midget, and 58, 59 and 60 Frogeye Sprites. The Midget is a runner, we use it when there's no salt on the roads. The Sprites are being restored, slowly. We hope to move South eventually to anywhere that doesn't require slow plows and road salt. Until then, our MGs sleep under cover until April or the first good rain after the last snow of the year.

Dawn is good thank you. She nearly got wet filming the ford.

Thank you, we are very pleased you enjoy them as much as we love making them. Are you in a warm part of USA?

I should have also shown opening the flaps inside, really gets warm then.

50f sounds low, I will check what ours measures at the flaps, I have flushed the system a couple of this, so that might be a plan.

Wait wait, Tuna and SWEETCORN?!?!?!
Very common in UK, not with you?
We are in. New York, under Lake Ontario over towards Buffalo. No. Never heard of it. I'm interested!! It's just tuna + mayo + loose corn kernels?
Yes, just that. give it a try and let us know? How would you have tuna in a sandwich?
