Yeah but no spotter/radar its hard to focus on everything thats going on especially at the start
They nailed the driving experience. Sure there are bugs, but those will be ironed out. The important thing is this game feels really good and has a good foundation to build on.
The new update seems to of fixed a lot of the stutters and crashes for me. I'm really loving the driving experience.
Based on the release notes they did not work on the engine itself, do you know more about they changed?
Me too I also turned everything down to low except track and car quality and boy does the game still look good. A lot of soft particle and shadow stuff I found was not needed while racing more fps bump does help much more. Now my only issue with game is the launcher not having a valid publisher certificate so the antivirus blocks it all the time.

I never thought I could hate some track only from game and the feedback the game giving back. But! Last corner of Sebring drive me crazy. They done such a amazing job with this track.
Excellent race, really fun to watch.
Somehow this is the only sim that makes my heart pound fast af... idk why that is but the feel of the cars in LMU is 10/10

I cancelled my iracing for the time being, I can see myself playing this for a while. Absolute blast.
This game is cheaper than one month of iracing plus a track..

That's also what I did, great timing as my yearly subscription was expiring; you just have to ignore all the money spent on content and avoid the "sunk cost fallacy". Just because we spent *a lot* of money already doesn't mean we have to keep spending to make it count; we already enjoyed the content.
Ppl that make fun of or are not willing to give LMU/RF2 a shot don't know what they're missing....
They will hopefully continue to iron out the bugs successfully. The driving is excellent. Once they have it right then Gt3 will probably be added at some stage, I think Le Mans Gt3 cars are setup a bit differently for endurance, I could be wrong

17:17 That had to so heart breaking for Brock that Gellert's over send failed and it cost them both. Brock was doing so well at keeping his P3 for so long, holding back Jardier.
Yeah there was no way Gellert was going to make that, Brock couldn't see him coming as his view was blocked by Jardier on the inside. Poor Brock who had done so well the entire Race ended up in P9.

Firstly. I'm just a spectator. I'm also a subscriber. I don't have the skill or gear to attempt to Race. So the following opinion of this video is from a spectator's point of view, which doesn't hold much opinion weight. I'm going to try to post a proper amateur spectator review/comment anyway. I will be compare this video to videos of Assetto Corsa that Jardier has posted.
Start.
Environment view.
1st. Compared to Assetto Corsa. (I must add. I've done and have photography skills.) This looks closer to real life than Assetto Corsa to me. Personally, I like Assetto better. When I watch Assetto Corsa clips, it looks so more clear viewing than real. (I like the clear view. Easy on the eye of the spectator.) The sharpness between the two sims is about the same. For me, LE MANS ULTIMATE LMP2, (to keep it simple/short), looks more life like. It is a brightness/contrast balance thing. The sunlight glare is better than the other sim. ... I wonder what a night time race in LE MANS ULTIMATE LMP2 would look like?
2nd. The onboard camera view. Maybe this should have been the number one comment here. In the videos of Assetto Corsa. The in cab camera view is very stable as the car runs over bumps in the track. In this video. That camera view shakes a LOT more when going over bumps in the track. Since I've never raced in real life I can't judge which is more real for the sim driver. One could be exaggerated or the other less so.

Well done, Jardier! Would you consider doing a tutorial on how you recognize wheel spin under throttle? Meaning, do you utilize a buttkicker type device and if so, which setting...TC Active, Wheel slip, etc? The lower TC in ACC is impossible for me as I always loop the car under acceleration. Please Help!
Once the game gets smoothed out operationally this one could be a new kid on the block for simracing.

That´s exactly what´s happening all the time! Some morons are simply dive bombing at every opportunity! You got lucky there. I usually get wrecked out of the race at that point.

I love le Man's ultimate. I've had bugs but I'm so waiting for updates. Sounds, graphics, the FFB it's awesome minus the bugs.

I like to drive with the hood view. I guess I need to drive more hyper car races, to unlock them., it's saying fixed. When I'm trying to drive P2 or GTE the car won't move out of the garage. So I'll see.
Wtf was Gellert doing at 17:15...that's why i stopped racing online because of those idiots
I don't know about LMU, sure I haven't tried it. Will probably do when I'm not the unpayed tester. I don't like the HUD I think it's too much, the speedometer is just too big

Unfortunately my 4 years laptop can't handle LMU good enough. Tried some practice laps and feels so good though.
I feel bad for those who desperately sends and ruins others races. Jardier takes inside and he still has to ”try” even if there is no chance for any overtake from him Terrible

Vanilla rf2 felt to me like a technical demo. Even in early stages LMU feels like a serious step forward and a proper gane.
Watching you and others play this looks so awesome and I wish this game would work for me like it works for you guys. I can't get the FFB on my R9 to work correct due to massive dead zone (others have the same problem). Having to turn down so many settings on a 7900XTX/5800x3d triple monitor setup is another thing preventing me from getting enjoyment out of this game.
I understand it being in early acces, but there should be some amount of playable out of the box but for me it has none. You should not have to google to setup up basic and why do I have to exit to the main menu to change graphics settings. I'm seering the same problems that prevented rF2 from becoming the leading game in sim racing. Having the physics on point is part of it but for most people, a smooth transition from starting up the computer to racing is what makes or brakes a game.
Does anyone have a ffb setup for fanatec? Ive given up on trying to get this thing to feel right. Giand dead spot in the middle, wheel going completely ffb dead after about 200⁰ of turning rotation. I need help badly.
