Loved the hard to find curved claw hammer. Almost left when I saw screws. Glad I stayed for the gorgeous cat! It’s more of a bridge to a chicken ladder. The bridge part just made the chicken ladder part steeper. Seen too many DaVinci bridge videos lately.

Looks good. Next time you service the bridge or on a next one keep gaps between baords so they would have space to move when contracting and expanding. Will be in good shape for longer then.

You're absolutely right, I learned the way. One of the boards eventually popped out 😅

It would also help rainwater drain from the surface.

    Screws?
    Screws are for the weak.

    Self supporting means no screws.

You're right! It was just inspired by his idea 😉

Those few screws wouldn't help much if it wouldn't be self supporting. He would need a lot more supports and screws to make more traditional construction bridge. I would say it's still self supporting frame in general. You can say those screws are just an insurance so that none of the members would slip

They’re just there to hold the cross locks. Some of these bridges use more elaborate joinery to key parts in place.
