PAINT-A-VERSARY! By The Sea 2024

I repaint this painting every year. This was the painting we did at my first painting class. Bob Ross’ “By The Sea”. That first class was 5 years ago and it was the day I found my passion.
This year I expanded Bob’s composition a bit. Bob painted this in portrait. I painted it in landscape. In doing so, I was able to add a few elements in such as the far away island and the rocky ledge on the right. I also used a different painting technique than Bob used giving a different effect.
I hope Bob is smiling down on me and approving my spin on his painting.
