Cool to see the Goon coming back .. been fishing there for right at 32 years.. I was part of the era that got to see the highest of high and the best times there in the Lagoon and also witnessed the heartbreaking decline.. I fished magical mystical sunrises with tailing redfish for hundreds of yards in every direction. It truly was an amazing estuary. Its decline over the last 10-12 years was heart wrenching. But I’m happy that it’s coming back so strong and one of the greatest things is it’s now holding a lot of snook juvenile snook at that which means in a few years there’ll be a lot of monsters roaming around over there… I hope it returns to its glory that I got to see so that my son will be able to enjoy what I did.. I’m 56 now. No polling for me anymore trolling motor only. Hopefully my son will be able to experience the magic that this place holds.. thanks for sharing.. It’s cool to see people fish in the same place as you fish many of times. By the way, If you’re trying to keep quiet on the boat when you’re stalking a school, I suggest not dropping your rod and letting the fish flop around on the boat deck. 😅😅😅😂😂😂. Tight line young man keep up the good work love your channel. Love your videos. ☮️😎👍The Goon Lives On.. PS - I know where the Giants live..
I have been following you for probably 7+ years, that video where you caught your PB red is by far my favorite, it was pure adrenaline and so rewarding. I have fish the mosquito lagoon for 3 years, every spot of it. And seeing you fish there all the same spots I fish it’s honestly pretty cool. That area can be very rewarding and there’s days I have caught plenty of 31”34” reds all artificial. But honestly winter time can have tough days. My days catching 15 big reds were in October during fall! Also good choice with my favorite band of all time Linkin Park! 💪🏻 keep it up!
My pb red fish which was 36" came from haul over canal between bears boat landing , and the bridge that crosses the canal. The current was ripping thru there.
Much easier to feed them, then fool them, Lawson. I fish every morning on the beach, I watch the sun come up every morning, and if I catch a fish I consider it an only bonus to an amazing morning.
Saw you out there on your first day of fishing. Spotted some giants that didn’t wanna eat on the west side. Hooked into a few small ones, which made it a decent day. Awesome video bro, keep it up!
Hey Lawson, I just want to say that that exact boat ramp you came off of in the 1st half is where I was bank fishing this past Tuesday and managed to land a 42 inch tarpon!
PB fish or not, huge props for getting out there and giving it your all. Very inspirational and it's videos like this that I think about when I'm on the water having just a crap day... it gives me the motivation to stick with it! Keep it up man, awesome stuff!
Hey lawdog tight lines from Victoria tx! I’m right there with you man on loving the solo trips it’s something in my opinion that every person has to do to understand that feeling(safely) but also not bad have awesome friends! Linkin park is a must have jam
Hey Jacob. Im heading out for some shore fishing for lake trout. Steelhead and giant browns tomorrow. Your welcome to join me. Oh yeah. The high for tomorrow will be 18 degrees !😂
So crazy I met you at a state park in Jupiter when I moved to fl early this past summer. Since then I’ve moved north to Oak hill and fish this very lagoon almost everyday 🤣🤣 I’m sure I’ll run into you again fishing sometime or another
Man what the hell? did you invest in some expensive camera gear? The colors on those redfish are some of the best I've seen. Going into the art world on some of those shots.
right place wrong time for a red bigger than 42 on arti there...most people fishing haulover think you need to go all day and soak bait for one. if you can put together the pattern you can have some epic days...best trip was 17 total between 4 guys in a few hours smallest ones were mid 30s biggest mid 40s...majority artis... but it is tough to try to fish the windows that are a lights out bite being 3 hours away
Few months ago i was fishing under the bridge just across from pier 220, was using blue crabs and had something shred a crab but saw a school of bull reds and also a school of probably the biggest tarpon ive ever seen (easily well over 6ft) jumping maybe 50-100yards erom the shore , its amazing to see one giant fish but to see a whole school of fish way bigger than i am was out of this world almost
Damn I can't believe that redfish video dropped 5 years ago. Seems like it was just yesterday, where has time gone. It's been super sick to see how your channel has evolved over the years
This is haulover canal right ? , my pops use to take me there and I remember always seeing big snook under the overhanging trees when the water was super clear . Plus one day there was a nice school of rat reds that we caught back to back like 20-26 in .
24:07 wouldnt that have been a perfect eater size since you're doing the whole keep it all and eat it stuff now? Or nvm, this was probably filmed before that one😂
True. The Lagoon has dropped off severely with all the grass dying off. Finding a school of breeder reds is near impossible. Those tailing reds were on to you. Keep the trolling motor at home and use the push pole.
Hey man....want to try something different? Go out at night....fish the last hour of outgoing and then the incoming. But in talking 10pm and after. Bro when I tell you the big fish come out at night I'm not kidding. Use paddletails....livetarget my go to for nighttime snook and reds. Let me know how it goes!!! Or come out here and fish anclote with me
..sooo gave up on giving up on catch and release fishing? I am not saying that he shouldn’t go trophy fishing. Or that every fish he can keep should be kept. Just pointing out the most recent video he posted is him saying “I’m giving up on catch and release fishing” followed by a literal trophy fishing video without even one video inbetween.
He explained his reasons in a earlier video, involving the health benefits of eating some of the fish he catches and feeding his family with that quantity meat.
@ his most recent video is him saying he was giving up on catch and release fishing and next video he posts is him chasing record fish. Zero videos in between them. The title was literally “I’m giving up on catch and release fishing” I’m pretty sure.
@ his caption of the video was. And I quote. “I am giving up on catch and release fishing”…. It’s click bait and misleading. Idc either way I’ll keep watching the videos either way. Just pointing out that he literally just posted a video stating that he was not going to be catch and release fishing anymore.

Lawson brother, these videos just keep getting better…stoked to have watched your journey from the early days to now!
Much easier to feed them, then fool them, Lawson. I fish every morning on the beach, I watch the sun come up every morning, and if I catch a fish I consider it an only bonus to an amazing morning.
Makes me feel spoiled this is all in my backyard, I love Titusville

So glad you keep it real, fishing can be complicated and simple at the same time
oh my gosh that first redfish eat was magical ✨
Awesome video dude! I like that Salty Hundo you got😤
Always a good day when Lawson has a new upload! Cheers man, tight lines!
Hey Lawson, I just want to say that that exact boat ramp you came off of in the 1st half is where I was bank fishing this past Tuesday and managed to land a 42 inch tarpon!
I’ve watched your videos since day 1. Love watching you grow with your own family. Great video as always! 🤙
Pumped to see you fishing in my neck of the woods again. I launch at that ramp all the time. Hope to run into you someday man!
Got my Lost Sun hat. I've worn it just about every day since I got it a couple weeks ago. Love it man!
PB fish or not, huge props for getting out there and giving it your all. Very inspirational and it's videos like this that I think about when I'm on the water having just a crap day... it gives me the motivation to stick with it! Keep it up man, awesome stuff!
Being real cost nothing and gains you everything! Keep up the good work brother
Ok..I'll watch...it better be a new PB and not just click bait! 😂 And a good story of how it was
@@bettylane1984 welp
Haulover canal on the Merritt island rez. I use to run bioluminescent kayak tours out of that boat ramp 👍

Hey lawdog tight lines from Victoria tx! I’m right there with you man on loving the solo trips it’s something in my opinion that every person has to do to understand that feeling(safely) but also not bad have awesome friends! Linkin park is a must have jam

5 years like that... time flies man, love ya lawdawg thank you for your videos, Cheers to many more
Lawson, Pls Think about a fresh-water trip to Lake Okeechobee for monster bass using giant shiners under a cork.
Thank you for posting again. Your videos are amazing, do you use a heavy rod for the snook and tarpon?
Heck yah brother, lookin good
Lawson: **goes to Redfish capital of FL*
Also Lawson: **catches slot Snook*
So crazy I met you at a state park in Jupiter when I moved to fl early this past summer. Since then I’ve moved north to Oak hill and fish this very lagoon almost everyday 🤣🤣 I’m sure I’ll run into you again fishing sometime or another
I caught my pb redfish at the mouth of Haulover after one of the hurricanes on blue crab...so many awesome memories from ML .
You should hit me up next time you want to come up to the lagoon! I’d love to show you around and help put you on fish! Much love brother.
I was the boat that came up to you towards then end of the vid 😂
Wowww, can’t believe that PB redfish was 5 years ago already. Time flies man.
Great way to end the day, big fish or not.
I fish there all the time! Great spot to fish!
Find the wind protected coves with dark muddy bottom. Sun soaked is a big plus
Lfg new vid, I just dropped everything to watch
That bull red video was 5 years ago already man…holy cow time flies
Man what the hell? did you invest in some expensive camera gear? The colors on those redfish are some of the best I've seen. Going into the art world on some of those shots.
Haha your last video was all about how you were quitting doing this. Chasing monsters and catch and release. That didn't last long.

i will say youre in the right place right time in terms of time of year
That’s my favorite place to fish, seen some massive reds caught there

Not the big red you where hoping for but i nice slam for sure nice video. Thanks
An honor to fish with the best!
What ramp are you launching out of?
I never thought about putting a screwdriver into a vise to spool line.
Redfish heads remind me of king cobra, you cant convince me im wrong
Damn I can't believe that redfish video dropped 5 years ago. Seems like it was just yesterday, where has time gone. It's been super sick to see how your channel has evolved over the years
I remember the redfish...good one.
Why don't you do any deep water fishing by yourself
This is haulover canal right ? , my pops use to take me there and I remember always seeing big snook under the overhanging trees when the water was super clear . Plus one day there was a nice school of rat reds that we caught back to back like 20-26 in .
Ps I’ve been seeing some homies catch big reds down here at pounce inlet on big swim baits recently
That canal can be hit or miss. Sometimes there are massive Reds and Blackdrum that move through there and others times there's nothing.
Right in my backyard of Titusville. So cool
Where were you fishing?
We were almost a dealer for Explor Boat Works.
🧂'Y Hundo 💯
Slammed a monster then blasted Lincoln park and started doing push-ups! Haha
24:07 wouldnt that have been a perfect eater size since you're doing the whole keep it all and eat it stuff now? Or nvm, this was probably filmed before that one😂
One of my favorite areas to fish mosquito Lagoon I miss it !
Oh hi Mark.
You got yourself an inshore slam
Hello can u do an update or give me an update of the toadfish road combo after a year ? Yes its been a year already 😂 Thank you blessings…
What's up my Dawgs!!!
Come up to panama city if you want giant bulls bro. You won't be disappointed
Mark!! 🎉
WHAT IS UP MAH DAWWWWWWGS
Hereya go
6:48 😂
Wsgg dawsonn🎉
My biggest red from under that bridge.
Crazy to say your area doesn’t have targetable redfish. Sad cus it used to be considered the redfish capital of the world no?
True. The Lagoon has dropped off severely with all the grass dying off. Finding a school of breeder reds is near impossible.
Those tailing reds were on to you. Keep the trolling motor at home and use the push pole.
you ever target tarpon man?
Your merch is really crazy expensive. $45 for a ball cap and $60 for a shirt is excessive.
Lol I thought no more catch and release?
Come to Louisiana. It's where they live.
Please teach that guy how to release a fish! 🤦🏻♂️
Lawwwdawwwwgggg

Bro let's go fishing I live here.
That a blackfin rod
And then you start fly fishing, what better way to make things more complicated to catch a fish/ sorry, personal rant permit are driving me insane
