I loved this show when I was a kid in the 80s, always singing the song at dinner time. It came on before Monkey Magic and the Goodies on the ABC
now heres the mysterious cities of gold theme in your head :)
@@RaptorAlphaOne Good call!
Yes indeed, I used to watch monkey magic, Inspector Gadget, Consuming passions (10 min cooking show), Astro Boy, Ghost Busters, you name it, the best days ever 😁🙂
Yes, used to watch all these too when i was a kid!
You just summed up my childhood :)
In case any of you were wondering what that cartoon clip you saw for a split second was at the beginning, it was Ulysses 31.
Well Done! I saw it too!!
I love his narration and general talk throughout the show. Absolute Aussie icon.
That has to be the sweetest sounding and the most heart melting g'day I have ever heard. It should be copyrighted.
I Rememmber seeing this and the jingle as an1st grade student in Papua New Guinea on ABC or then QTV😊. Peter Russell, You Beauty, Loved the cooking 🍳 👍🏾.
hey, where did you go to school ?? I used to watch this show around same time

@@jimmyohara2601 I went to Ela Beach International in POM, round abouts 89'
@@david.b4186 aghh, looks to 🐝 I sort of circa 5ive to 10 yrs ahead of you.
I went to Goroka International Primary School 1979 -to- 1985😁🙂
I watched this as a kid and it ignited my love of cooking. "Where's the cheese" lol
I know that show was a mainstay around the 1980's yet I've only seen it a handful of afew times as a kid. I've always enjoyed this shows chill and relaxed nature....Great stuff.
Legend
Great to see another episode of this show I saw as a little boy in the 80s, love Peter's honesty in this episode about seagull shit in rock salt lol, bet a lot of viewers switched to refined salt after that lol. Peter is a real character and an Aussie icon!
Where's the cheese?
i remember this show was on at 5:55 on weekdays
Imagine being the editing guy … bleeping out every second swear word 😂… PRC was a legend
Looks like the networks told him not to talk too much about the entomology of the word "salary" and "Romans"
Wouldn't want the Australian tv viewers to learn a bit about ancient history.
And the song at shows end he'd say ..after 2 g'days... what was it... See U later!?
Usually it was. Sometimes it was left off!
Did he made an appearance on Prisoner? The time Mervin Pringle went on a cooking program and won a microwave?
epic history lesson ............ anyway who cares :) love that
Legend🙌🏻
Is salt good for you? Yes, it's on crisps and on your french fries.
Eat as much sea salt as you want
Why did they place PR-C smack in the middle of kid's shows?
Or even in the dark..
It had a few more impurity’s like Seagull poop..
This show used to give me the sh*ts. Why on earth would the geniuses at the ABC put this on during the after-school kids shows? I'd have to watch this grown-up garbage after "Metal Mickey", whilst waiting for "Home" to come on. And don't get me started on the PTSD I still suffer from hearing the intro music to "Chris Conroy's 'World of Boats'" which came on after the Saturday morning cartoons!
Did you come and delib look PRC up just to write this fucking comment?! Go TF away 😒
I might have been 3 or 4 at the time and improved my vocabulary watching this. There you go.
Urgh that annoying laugh. FSt forward did a ripe parody of him
Go tf away you lil troll
That wasn't him they parodied. Or on second thought, Michael Veitch may have done that.
@@pauljordan4452 lol it was a direct parody
