Ok, that’s how I’ve thought wreckers should work for years. Bring vehicles inside at the very least. Nothing worse than finding exactly what you need in the yard but ruined by weather or a knob who didn’t feel like just unplugging the loom.
When the parts are worth enough, it makes market sense. Most of the outdoor self-serve yards that I've been to only carry older stuff that just wouldn't be economical to give this much effort and money towards.
Wow this is a hell of a company. I'm over in the US so I've never heard of them but they sure seem to have a massive facility. Hearing about the engine warranty and agreement to pull-n-pay if something unseen goes wrong is a huge deal. That tells me they stand by their QC and trust their parts picking system. I hope you can work with them more in the future as they deserve some spotlight for bringing the wrecking yard into the current online era.
I'm here in the US too, and I'm stunned at how well ACM operates! The Australians have this down! We're still stuck in the slog-through-the-mud to see if it's still there and if the weather hasn't ruined it.
I've used scrappys (aka wreakers aka junkyard) in the UK that work in a similar way. They pull all the parts off and put them into stock, rather than just leave you to pull the parts yourself, but they were just a big shed, not a massive warehouse like this.

Very excited for the LS swap on the IS! As soon as i saw those 4 engines i knew you were going LS, you have done the Barra a lot, that V6 was too modern and the K while it's a great option, the best thing to use for a RWD manual K swap is a BMW transmission and i guess they are hard to find in Aus and expensive to import, so, LS was the best option! 😁
Don't hold your breath dude, Holden stopped building cars in 2017, and as of 2020 they even stopped rebadging and importing and the brand was officially retired. Holden is dead.

Acm is good concept some times execution isnt there when you have people picking parts of the shelf that dont know one engine fron the next, bought a alloytec from them first one came wrong code, second engine was a suzuki vitara 4 cyl lol third time we got there
I have a manual IS250 with the 4GR - I thought they used the same Aisin trans as the 6 Sp V6 Commodore? And if you were considering a 4GR but dropped it because of the direct injection - why did you not look at the 2GR which has both direct and port injection? And the Hilux 4.0 1GR is Port Injected with plenty of cheap manuals. None of those were ever going to seriously beat an LS though....
ACM looks to be a very well organised wrecking operation, but why do we need to call them to find out what they have in stock? Seems bizarre that they've gone to all the trouble of wrapping, storing and cataloging their stock, yet they don't make that catalogue available to potential customers on their website. That's weird....
I love the idea of an LS IS- gives me vibes of a modern day Japanese Torana that will be a ton on fun on the track. Incidentally, I would be genuinely interested in any or all of the 1G parts you wouldn’t need anymore- piggyback loom, supercharger kit, any of that sort of gear.
