HOW THEY "HIGH FLOW" A TURBO 🌬️ 🐌

- We give MTQ the challenge of making this tiny giant compressor wheel fit inside the factory turbo housing.
"High flowing" a turbo means modifying it to allow a larger volume of air to flow through it, resulting in increased power output from the engine by providing more oxygen for combustion.

Great to watch a wizard at work , mad skills on display. I’m sure you were comfortable paying that invoice!
I was confused there, because that's my local accent (South African). Always great to see some local talent doing what they do best
Great video and explanation of how the parts of the turbo work together
Hy klink afrikaans ook,
Wow, a really nice look inside a turbo machine shop. Thanks, Benny.
Extremely articulate explanations, that gents english is amazing!
Dude, he's south african😂😂😂
@@cjm5002 he’s still speaking English….
That’s my boy Jaden Laubscher. 😍😍
@@paulhenry9300 we can call him fatboy now. 🤣
I think people are missing the point. His antecedents aren't relevant, his verbosity level is. I seldom have had the chance to hear someone with his level in the last 40 years... and I've been all over. He doesn't by chance have a phd hiding somewhere does he? Because if he doesnt have at least a masters in something that will be even more amazing!
Great episode, thanks to all for sharing the knowledge
Fantastic video guys, once again the amount of knowledge shared is incredible and despite this being outside of most people reach just knowing how it's done goes a long way!
Underrated content! Thank you for the "Disrespected Nose" filming.
May I suggest doing the T51R mod? I'd enjoy watching you guys talk through this classic mod and on this turbo/car, it'll be fitting of the Channel.
this was an excellent episode boys!!! really nice to watch a master at his work. lots of good nuggets of info!!!
Mans got a snor and a half there. Gonna call you oom.
Kudos on the explanation my boy. Now i know aswell
Great vid ! Clever guy, always enjoying watching machinists at work.
It took me quite a bit of thought and research to understand the difference between flow and pressure(or compression in the case of a turbo or even an air compressor for that matter), this is the best video ever for explaining that difference so simply.
Yep. I always roll my eyes when people ask me about psi in regards to my own cars when I tell them it's upgraded.
Hey Benny and Gian, having you boys there to show us throw a process that some of us will never ever need, but, appreciate greatly for the expertise, the explanations, the insights, truly help us to appreciate the experts that are actually experts in their fields. Hands down, if I ever get something the boys at MTQ could work on, I'd call them first, that is the power of this video. Pauly, Jaden and the team there are certainly compressor professors and it's just so entertaining for us garage enthusiasts.
he knows his stuff..!!!
Benny's got the flow
Jaden is extremely knowledgeable and I learned a lot from this build !
Gian with the nagles.
Loved these guys when Barrel Bros went to visit, happy to see it didn't put them off doing another tiniest turbo overhaul!
This guy is the real turbo Yoda.
This was a great video, loads of info from an expert. Thanks for making this one Benny.
Cheers guy's it was good to see what's inside on.
Very detailed
Good job my boi Jaden. But I don’t like your moustache boss. 😂
😂😂😂
Super cool video.
Really enjoyed that, should add around 3hp... ;)
Hey Benny, just wondering about the exhaust housing, the little holes seem incredibly restrictive. Is it possible to bore them out for better flow, or are there concerns about pressure and overspeed?
@@Chardiieee it’s only a 660cc engine don’t forget. Opening parts of the housing while could increase peak flow will slow the exhaust gas speed down and make it less responsive. It’s also a twin scroll turbo so should be sweet
seems like a lot of work aye
Looked like fun work to me
Excellent video
I learned a lot
Baby turbo! Probably fit in the inlet of the Cresta one!
Can't wait to hear this on the minijero, have to keep my eye out for ya punting about shl
Loved all that info
Very interesting video thanks for the share
Jaden definitely a South African
After seeing Mark's video of having his turbo hi-flowed there, I'm pretty sure they ONLY hire Saffas.
Fantastic vid
