I realize its an Alco, but the cab on that M420 just doesnt look right. About like the GE style cabs CSX put on its rebuilt SD40. I just dont like it. Can we maybe expect a few excursion using NKP 190?
MLW M-series 4 axle locomotives shared little in common design wise from their older ALCO centuries they were based on. All the four axle M-series locomotive (M420, M424, and the M430 if they built it) had this Canadian safety cab. These cabs would also find their way on BC Rail M630s and on the Bombardier HR412 (successor to the M420/M624) and the Draper-Taper body HR616.
Is this what used to called the Delaware-Hudson-Lackawanna (DHL)?
No. They are operating on parts of the Delaware, Lackawanna, & Western and the Delaware & Hudson
