- Here is a compilation of shots over the 5th and 6th of August 2021 when visiting the Delaware Lackawanna Railroad in Scranton, PA and surrounding areas. ALCO and MLW locomotives seen include RS-11, RS-32, C420, C424, C425, M420, and M630-S7. Seen over 2 days are jobs PO-74, PO-75, LL-1, and DL-3. An interesting note, DL 3007 was rebuilt by General Electric in their Super 7 program, it now sports DASH 8 electronics, and GE DASH 8 style dynamic brakes.
Miss living in NEPA, the railfanning is very unique especially with the DL. Great video, 2409 was one of my favorites before the repaint. Loved the blue. Thank you for sharing
Have A Bad Day? Come To Scranton PA! Every railfan who goes there will say the Alco's brighten up any bad day!
Love seeing these old ALCOs still in service
Excellent stuff here-Alcos working in that great scenery. Also love the sound of them battling the grades.Sorta like a vintage DC9 or 727.No mufflers,no exhaust silencers,no apologies!!!
Very nice footage of those ole ALCOs and MLWs!
It's great seeing all these "forgotten" engines and the surrounding hills are spectacular. Being from Ohio, it's nice to see other states beautiful scenery.
One feature about Alco’s, if they are smoking, they are working. Great videos. Walked around the Scranton yards a few years ago at Steamtown, the Alco’s are a national treasure.
3:05-5:15 Sound of beauty right there.
Cool thanks mate
Great video - thanks for sharing!
The Lehigh Valley #414, originally red, then patch painted for the D&H, now sporting the gray/yellow scheme, is this the same engine?
May I ask what camera you use?
These are quite literally grab videos with my iPhone X.
