In fact I realized that german chancellors never did anything like that ever. They never agreed to interviewed and explain things in such a detailed manner. My chancellor Olaf Scholz even goes so far as to not explain his political stands at all. It's terryfing that my countrymen voted for such a secretive guy who discloses nearly everything.

As a German I must say this was the best Putininterview I have seen in my lifetime. Great Job really. It contained quite shocking things from the russian perspective I never once heared here in the west.

Lies most of the time? Tucker does a very very poor job as a journalist.
It's quite shocking how indecent NATO has been with Russia. Without defending Putin, it's been evident how our movement towards the east was in direct conflict with Russia.
This has been going on for decades, and Putin has had a lot of patience. Personally, I'm thankful that Putin is the president of Russia. Most leaders would act out recklessly if 100,000 of their soldiers were killed by a Russian funded military .
The US lost around 8,000 troops in 20 years of conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan.
in fact, this is the worst Putin interview that exists. In general, his reasoning is correct, but he did not clearly express Russia position on some issues, I think it could have been better. I don’t know what exactly went wrong, perhaps the questions were not relevant enough and Tucker work as a whole. By the way, Putin said an important thing for you as a german. It is known how many western media tried to blame Russia for this after the nord stream explosion. that is, we built a gas pipeline more than 1200 kilometers long, and then we blew it up ourselves, yea, of course. what benefit could this have for Russia? no, only financial losses. nord tream was also a strategic resource to endear Germany. but then somehow it was blown up, and no one knows who it was, or rather they don’t want to admit it. meanwhile, the western media “allies” of Germany are silent about this, although in essence this is real trrorsm, they caused us damage, the German economy is also suffering losses and is moving some of its factories, and all this in order to turn others against Russia, it’s just insane. however, its not the worst thing. now they are collect taxes for their activities in the east. utube won't let me tell, but I think you understand

Did this guy actually ask any challenging question, such as: why Putin has been a president for 20(!) years; why Russian army killed thousands of civilians and bombed schools, theatres, and other non-military objects? Or why Putin want Ukraine, when half of Russia are poor and uneducated?

I get why people are criticizing how he opened the interview but honestly putin made a smart move. We in the west don't have a common full understanding of eastern history. Especially Russian. If you were to bring up to a American about the beef between the French and British we'd get it. If Europe broke down and france britian Italy and Germany all got into it again we'd as Americans get it. We only kinda get it when Poland russia and Ukrainian start fighting. There's centuries even a millenia of context that we're missing or not properly evaluating.

Actually mate. He has so e bid important mistaken facts and way of thinking. He is talking about 16 century when on those land extremely different countries existed. After USSR broke down, Russia get the same lands as Russian Republic had and so did Ukraine. It has bothing to do with Kiev Rus and even 16-19 centuries. And the question is still open. Why since Putin first became a President, he has never been concerned about those lands. It is really funny. It is a serious qeustion. But he cant answer it. He is scared. He is making jokes of that.

Won't happen with the democrats in the white house the democrats love to make money from foreign wars to get richer. Unless trump is elected again it will all back to just focusing on America just like back when trump was in office.
The problem is the UK government has been fighting other people's wars for a few hundred years, when the USA became involved in WW2 the American government became closer tied to the UK government and have been tied together every since. Both governments may be "democracies" because you can vote for a legally powerless person but you can't vote for anything that matter/, just as in the UK. After Suez, the USA decided to exercise its full influence and stop the UK/France from being colonial powers anymore. However the UK government and US government are tied together in terms of global strategy because both countries since before WW2 have people in power who make massive fortunes waging war via arms sales or defense contractors. The public really doesn't know what is happening and most young people are against any war with Russia. We're not our boomer parents, I grew up talking with Russians online, I had a Russian friend and even girlfriend for a bit. The Russian people are normal people, same hopes and fears we all have.
Also I wish we could we are begging our government to put our own country first in terms of priorities but there doesn't seem to be anyone who can
