I'm a Shawol since debut and Taemin biased since 2009. This solo was shocking to everyone. First everyone in the fandom didn't understand why Taemin got a solo before Jonghyun or Onew. Also it was the first time that SM gave a solo album to a member of an active group so people were afraid Taemin going to leave SHINee. And they couldn't think he can stand on his own with his voice yet even though he did show improvement in albums that came out in 2013. It was a mess in the Kpop community but especially in the shawol fandom, even Taemin biased shawol didn't really know what to think. But Taemin proved himself with a brilliant mini album that was so so Taemin! After it no one questioned any other artist again if he fit for a solo or if he deserves it. But it was a huge shock indeed and a change in how SM does stuff now
Someone probably already said it, but the backround voice you hear in Ace is Changmin's from TVXQ, he actually wrote the lyrics for the song. In the same debut album there is a song called Pretty boy, written by Jonghyun and it's featuring Kai.
Taemin is a very hard working guy but also with that he’s very diverse with his music which I love he’s not afraid to try new sounds and even new dances which I love even more
Taemin was the first soloist of SM, he is the best soloist today because he has a unique style of making music and his choreographies. He has 13 years of experience and he is barely 27 and all those years he has helped him to find his own musical color and thus distinguish himself among so many for his uniqueness and authenticity. He is also very creative and innovative and has performances and a brutal stage presence that no one else has; He sings and dances like the gods, which is why he is highly respected and admired by many critics and professional dancers and juniors in his country. He's called King, ACE, Legend, Idol's idol and all for a reason. I look forward to more reactions from him in the future or next month because he will make a comeback with a new album. 👏

Taemin’s debut as solo artist with Danger is just as epic as SHINee’s debut with Replay! The way this 21 yo shattered his baby image and emerged on musical scene as an amazing, mature, extraordinary solo artist is just epic - there’s no other word for that! I love Danger, listening to it gives me excitement and thrill until this day and it’s still one of my favorite songs of his. The live performances are pure FIRE!!! Ace is such a sensual song, I could listen to him and his vocals in this song on repeat and the backing vocals are amazing too. It’s not Key however, I believe it’s Changmin (please correct me if I’m wrong) and he was the one who wrote the lyrics. And funny enough it was: I want to be your only one at first, but was changed to: I want to be your only ace :) Drip Drop is a song that gradually grew on me - it wasn’t my favorite from Press It album, especially in comparison to Press Your Number, but once it grew I just love it. The choreo is fire and this is such a “stage song”, seeing it live leaves a huge impression. I can’t wait for Taemin’s solo Beyond Live concert. He is a different breed on stage and as much as I love him on stage with SHINee his solo concerts are the most thrilling for me. He’s more intense when he performs solo in my opinion, there’s something different in his energy and power when he performs his own music and I find it incredibly attractive.

He is a very respectful person and he understands perfectly that in any situation he is given a certain role to fulfill, which in case of being in SHINee or SuperM is supporting a teamwork and making his team shine as a whole. Like you said he is not a diva type (which he could easily be, given his artistic achievements), but this dominant, powerful and super charismatic side of him appears instantly when he’s performing solo. Sometimes I wish he was more on a cheeky, confident side, but on the other hand I love his humbleness and kindness, these are an exceptional character traits and make me love him even more as an artist and person.
I still remember vividly when I watched danger for the first time when it dropped. It was his debut song as a solo artist and we didnt know what to expect but it was everything we wanted. Also, my favorite choreographer/dancer at that time, Ian Eastwood, is responsible for the choreography.
SHINee members in general don’t participate in their solos. I think the only exception where we can hear other member’s backing vocals is Jonghyun in Taemin’s Already...? Jonghyun wrote this song and ultimately gave it to Taemin. I remember it was very special when Taemin performed it during his Arena Tour in 2019 and we could hear Jonghyun’s vocals...

The king of duality is Lee Taemin. You never know what you’re going to get with him. Also at this point in his solo career, if he were to hold a 2 hour long solo concert, the only way for him to fit all of his songs, Korean and Japanese, would be be for him to perform only medleys and even then, due to breaks and all that, he might not be able to fit everything in. He’s a busy, busy man.

During the SuperM North American tour, the first solo performer was Taemin and his first song was a mesh up of Danger and Shinee’s Sherlock! It was an amazing song and his performance live was electric! Actually, the whole show was amazing and SuperM only had one mini album at the time. If you can find a full recording, it is worth a view!

I feel you for Danger !! One of my friend was a Shawol, she introduced me some of their songs, but idk why, I don'l like them... When Danger was released , I gave him a chance. In one syllabe, he trapped me in his musical universe and he made me fall in love whith all his songs and his voice. Danger will always have a special place in my heart. 'Drip Drop' was filled at Vazquez Rocks in Aqua Dulce, California. Right outside of Los Angeles just past Santa Clarita (there's no mistaking those rocks, they are one of a kind. Lot's of Movies, T.V shows and video's have been filled there . I grew up in Santa Clarita and they are very beautiful.
Danger was iconic back then. It was shocking and amazing watching him going that way with his solo. Shawol and general public response was great because it was something so different. And also SM really didn't have many solos at that time (Henry debuted the year before and he was pretty much the only solo artist from a group they had).
I went and seen super m in concert san Diego CA. When taemin came out and performed danger the crowd went ape shit bananas. He is such a great performer and I have not found one of taemins songs that I don't love. Thank you for this reaction

Taemin debut was a first for Sm. He was the test debut for artists from groups to go solo. They wanted something very impactful that was different from his image in Shinee.

When this dropped OMG. I was already a shawol, but after Taemin debuted with this EP, I was even more obsessed with their music lol, and Drip Drop is legendary. One of the best choreographies and songs he's dropped. Also answering to you question about if the members doing background vocals for each other, as far as I know, the only one who's done that was Jonghyun for Taemin's Already because jjong wrote that song for him.
I was SO SHOOK when Danger came out. It was a complete 180 from his Shinee persona. It felt like we were seeing the Taemin he wanted to be and not just the goofy (amazing dancer) baby cheese maknae. It was very iconic and is still referenced by other idols who often do the dance moves. We were not prepared. We were in danger.
if you want to see a live version of danger i fully recommend the one from SHINee's "i'm your boy" concert in tokyo dome, its the first time he did it in concert (before his solo concerts) and its epic ^^ !!!! and/or the one from t1001101 concert !! taemin concerts in general are so amazing and he always manages to make the songs new and different every time ^^

There is Taemin on stage mode and Taemin off stage mode.... And no we weren t shock he could do borderline sexy concept as we had Internet war in 2012 and always mentioned he was a man not a girl or baby but it was still surprising to see him actually go full force with it for his solo debut.

'Drip Drop' was filled at Vazquez Rocks in Aqua Dulce, California. Right outside of Los Angeles just past Santa Clarita (there's no mistaking those rocks, they are one of a kind. Lot's of Movies, T.V shows and video's have been filled there . I grew up in Santa Clarita and they are very beautiful.
Taemin is Ace. Dance, visual, vocal are all top.

Danger was iconic back then. It was shocking and amazing watching him going that way with his solo. Shawol and general public response was great because it was something so different. And also SM really didn't have many solos at that time (Henry debuted the year before and he was pretty much the only solo artist from a group they had).
Taemin first mini album and debut still my fav from him, Danger is still one of best debut I ever seen 😁
I went and seen super m in concert san Diego CA. When taemin came out and performed danger the crowd went ape shit bananas. He is such a great performer and I have not found one of taemins songs that I don't love. Thank you for this reaction

Taemin debut was a first for Sm. He was the test debut for artists from groups to go solo. They wanted something very impactful that was different from his image in Shinee.

When this dropped OMG. I was already a shawol, but after Taemin debuted with this EP, I was even more obsessed with their music lol, and Drip Drop is legendary. One of the best choreographies and songs he's dropped.
Also answering to you question about if the members doing background vocals for each other, as far as I know, the only one who's done that was Jonghyun for Taemin's Already because jjong wrote that song for him.
Taemin knows exactly what he does to us, and he likes it.
I was SO SHOOK when Danger came out. It was a complete 180 from his Shinee persona. It felt like we were seeing the Taemin he wanted to be and not just the goofy (amazing dancer) baby cheese maknae. It was very iconic and is still referenced by other idols who often do the dance moves.
We were not prepared. We were in danger.
When Danger came out it was very unique, very Taemin and this release marked Taemin supremacy. This got first place in music shows.
Taemin also had a collaboration stage with Seulgi for Drip Drop.
if you want to see a live version of danger i fully recommend the one from SHINee's "i'm your boy" concert in tokyo dome, its the first time he did it in concert (before his solo concerts) and its epic ^^ !!!! and/or the one from t1001101 concert !! taemin concerts in general are so amazing and he always manages to make the songs new and different every time ^^
