Hi Smpliearn, Thank for the data sets. However, when I was doing the donut chart, I was not able to proceed as the your data sets does not have the "No of Records" in the measure ,but instead have the field "Orders(count)". When I used Orders(count), it does not allow me to change the measure to min. Pls advise how to obtain or create a measure with No of orders in order for me to create the donut chart
Hi, Simplilearn provides online training across the world. We would be happy to help you regarding this. Please visit us at www.simplilearn.com and drop us a query and we will get back to you! Thanks!
ok, I found a solution, for myself the "no of Records" was missing and I instead had "Orders(count)". I could drag it up onto rows and everything looked good but was unable to make it into MIN. After some messing around in Tableau I found that if you clear everything from rows then double click on rows and type in 1 and hit enter you will get SUM(1). Right click on this go down to "Measure(SUM)", then go to "Minimum". After that you've got it! It will look and behave exactly like hers in the video. Hope this helps :)
I downloaded the data set from Tableau's website when I started trying to learn from their tutorials. Everything matches with your datasets until around 1:02:00 when you pull the number of records. I don't have that in mine...

1:03:00 Another new configuration issue with 2021.4.3: I left the pies at varying sizes by sales volume so I could still see the relative sizes of the sales by region. But because I did so, any duplicate of the four pies creates a Linked Clone of the first, rather than a New Instance. I can't change the size of one row without doing so to the other. But I can change their opacity separately. This is a problem because both Marks cards control size for both rows, rather than one card per row. This would be a time-saver if you're duplicating data, but it's a problem in this context. (It also makes the "All" card superfluous as far as Size control.) The workaround for this is to switch the bottom SUM(Sales) on one card from Size to Detail (use the icon just to the left of the green bar.) This will set all the pies (EDIT: on that row) to the same size. Use these for the "hole" on a "donut" chart, and the region sales are more obvious by the comparative sizes (thickness) of the remaining rings. Still can't find the button for putting chocolate sprinkles on my donuts. Next release, I suppose. [shrug]
hi, thanks for your nice tutorial. But, as a beginner i am facing problem at the beginning!! I am using tableau desktop 2020.1. when i connect excel file and drag "Orders" sheet, then in sheet 1, drag "region" to columns, then double click to "quantity", but nothing is showing in the display rather only showing region names!! Hi. I have a question about Profit Ratio Aggregated and Unaggregated. I'm working on the same file, but with another data (another numbers). So, I do all steps the same, I created the calculeted fields, took Profit (-1536) and Sales (8437) and... well... Profit Ratio Aggregated is 0, and Profit Ratio Unaggregated is -2. If I put Product Name into Rows I can see that all results for each product are different for Profit Ratio Aggregated (mostly 0 and two reasults of -1) and Profit Ratio Unaggregated (mostly non-0 results). Should I change something in options? What is the reason of this situation? Great video by the way and this girl has very nice voice =)

Wanted to know the screen resolution you are using as it shows all the visualisation proper whereas I am using 1366 x 768 where it's showing bigger view and even when checking pie chart it does not display figure of few data as the pie are displayed side by side having no room to display the currency label
Using sets: I'm looking to create a visualization that shows top N customers within a segment. In the video, we see top N customers overall, what if I wanted top N customers within Consumer segment, top N customers within Corporate segment and top N customers within Head Office segment?
Hi Simplilearn Team, My question is when I create a new Dashboard and I drag in a new worksheet, that particular worksheet fills the entire screen; so when I add more worksheets, the screen becomes too busy and not easy to scroll through. How I can view all my worksheets in a Dashboard on the screen without scrolling sidewards, upwards or downwards. Thank you
Sheet 10: When I do the same steps it recognizes the world map but no specific country and does not show any dots or any changes-what might be the reason?

Hello, when I put the customer names into the rows and the sum quantity in the adjacent columns, the figures are not being displayed vertically. I have Tableau Desktop 2020.1. How do I change that?
Hi, my view does not have Number of Records, but Order Count. Thus, i am unable to achieve Donut and 2 - Dimensional Pie. Kindly recommend other ways of achieving same result. Thank you.
Overall a good video, very clear video and explanations. Would be better if you broke the video into clearly defined topics. Then use examples to show each feature and explain the reasoning behind why the feature is being used...right now it feels like you are just listing of features and I am not sure the reason for each feature...also it gets a little boring if it feels like a list. Besides for this it is probably the best intro video on RUclips !!!!

I have never had less fun in my life. Thank you for this overly long video to show to me that I never want to have to use Tableau in my professional career ever. It's a neat program that can do some really cool visual things, but OH MY THE TEDIUM. I hate using this program, very much. But glad it exists for those people who can deal with the immense tedium of creating a billion sheets and dashboards and setting the same godforsaken settings time and time and time and time again. Business needs this sort of visual reporting of data, but you couldn't pay me to do this professionally, lol.

How would you create a calculated field to show the month in which a sale takes place? I have data with sales that range from January through April.
Glad you enjoyed it! We've noted your suggestions and we'll definitely consider them for next time. Thank you!
Extremely useful training session especially for a beginner, easy to follow ! Well done and thank you so much.

Now tableau desktop have good calls? Please let me know. Thanks
How do you use a excel-file stored on sharepoint as a data source, that one group of people can change and update the tableau workbook online automatically once the source file is updated?
If the finance team updates the file it needs to be updated directly so management team can see. how do you do this with tableau? have searched and searched without results
Are these videos are enough to start a job in as a tableau developer?
Hi Manoj, we would recommend you to start with our Tableau tutorial videos at ruclips.net/p/PLEiEAq2VkUUJEvrsey26P-Bj4Vk6BLBVC.
