With it being new gen and new characters, it'd be interesting to see if they go with new weapons. Like i can totally see Odyn rocking a Kanabo club, or giving moja a Naginata. Following the weapons themes from the previous teams, their weapons should reflect various responsibilities to ground them where they may seem flawed. Might be an interesting opportunity to take these characters in interesting new territory in regards to persinal flaws and self awareness.
I agree with the new weapons thing. But I believe above all, their specialities should revolve more around their unique traits / strengths than just their preferred weapon. Odin is definitely the tank, the brawn, so he would wield heavier weapons like kanabo or glaives (his attribute won’t be stealth that’s for sure). Moja is the berserker, the rush warrior, so she should wield slashing weapons. Yi, the brainy one, could also be the one who is better suited for long range fighting. So a projectile user (i.e. bow and arrow, shuriken, etc.). Uno, the all-rounder, but also the most precise, should wield short range piercing weapons such the Sai, and other straight blade weaponry.
I like the fact that they’re moving forward with the franchise, instead of rebooting. what happened, happened and instead of trying to go back in time or rebooting the whole universe, life still goes forward.
Team Moja. I cant wait untl we start getting figurew of the new generation, and even when they start appearing in media and games. Still patiently waiting for the new issue to release.

When you said the first one was named Odin I thought they were all gonna be named after Greek gods. I like to know who came up with those names for the second generation. Way I see it, this can't be worse than the Rated G full color abortion of the Archie Comics TMNT Era. the cheesy cartoon, the horrible films, and the heavy Valley accented "Cowabunga, dude!" echoing through my mind. ruining one of my favorite THINGS IN THE WORLD for an 11-14-year-old me. Glad Judge Dredd still ruled, even after an awful 1st film! I'm sure the 4 OG Turtles & Splinter will still be around, they are too well established and worth too much revenue to flush down the crapper forever. I grew up in Ohio in the late 80’s, 90’s through the mid 2000’s.. America used to be 90% white until just a couple decades ago.. and even then, minorities were getting their fair share of representation based on the percentage of the population they made up. Like, even in the 80’s and 90’s.. about 20-25% of it was black people alone.. even more than that if you expand that to professional sports and music. Granted, we did used to white wash some characters/stories back in the day. However.. we’ve since learned that that isn’t ok and that’s something I agree with. But.. it’s now rolling in the opposite direction at a way more ridiculous pace than it ever did decades ago. They don’t just stop at fictional characters either.. they repeatedly race/gender/sexuality flop all kinds of real people from our history as well.. and we can’t say anything about it or we get called racist/sexist/homophobic. Even going so far as to make the excuse that the characters “whiteness”.. wasn’t integral to the character.. when it’s frequently stories based on our either direct/real history/historical figures or stories based on our culture and mythology… like.. this would be the equivalent of a bunch of white people packing up and going to Japan, China.. India.. Mexico or Egypt.. and we take over their version of Hollywood and we start making 90% of the characters white in their movies, shows and especially commercials/ads. None of those countries would stand for that and I wouldn’t expect them too either.
