Lost me at Brand and Rogan... Folks should judge for themselves whether a hypothesis makes sense or not... Like conspiracy theorist just means outside of group think nowadays and they are often more on point than traditional media and political narratives.
That's simply not true. "outside of group think" is not the same as a conspiracy theory. However, many conspiracy theorists try to make it look like that's what they're doing, just "outside of group think". But not everything that everyone thinks is "group think". People believe that, if they jump 20m off a ledge, they're likely to die. That's because it's true. Going against group think and jumping off a cliff will get you killed. Believing something just because nobody else does doesn't make it true. In fact, it makes it less likely. Not impossible, but there's usually a reason many people believe the same thing, because it's rooted in truth. A lot of conspiracy theorists revolve around "look where the money is". Look at where those conspiracy theorists are making their money: On social media, clickbait translates to views, which translates to revenue. It starts out that simple. Or they're flat out paid by a state (often Russia). So yes, in general, critical thinking is very much a good thing, and you may well come up with opinions and views outside the main stream, but it's important to realize also when you're just jumping off the bandwagon, as in, abandoning all reality. This is a strategy: Russian propaganda is not about a story, it's about attacking the concept of truth itself. Don't fall for it. Be smart. That's the only way to actually improve your situation, and yourself: facing reality.
Jon Ronson clearly has judged for himself. You just didn't like his conclusion. At least Joe Rogan seems to be stopping supporting Scientology, now, and is now coming to the conclusion that they are a cult.
'Judging for yourself' is about feelings, not data. To best avoid propaganda, find the primary source materials, and the origins of the sources to determine if they are valid. Sometimes a quick check can reveal that the origin of information is from a person who has a background of scamming, etc.

2b. to recur constantly and spontaneously
2.c. to reappear continually
And haunting as an intransitive verb:
1. to stay around or persist
No all definitions of haunting specifically relate to ghosts.
@@daniellamcgee4251 I refuse that definition just like I refuse the common definition of genocide
15:58 Whats not normal about that of course rich Republicans would talk about elections
What are you here for?..certainly not for facts & truth.
Be gone back to Fox etc for your hit of lies & conspiracies.

Abc are so pathetic.
Excellent point - and _so_ well argued!
🤔
Err, hang on...
Please go on...
I’m reminded of the truism that governments don’t create wealth, they only consume it . The ABC are using their ill gotten gains to champion big government while attempting to scorn and ridicule any political interests that may not support its expansion. For example that might be someone who once abolished over a hundred regulations. This post won’t last long.
@@assininecomment1630 Okay the Drum, totally biased panels, stack the panel with one view, the alternate view represented by idiots. Q&A vetted audience that leans one way politically, don't get me started on Karvelis' bias in her commentary, only questioning people she disagrees with, as they try and give an answer. Full to the brim of rich private school kids as presenters and producers and it shows. Main political reporter censured multiple times for bias. The ABC is as flawed and biased as every other media organisation, cow towing to their masters, the public service. Ex employees all speak of being let go for having the wrong opinions. The propaganda arm of the government that we all pay for. The libs also love the ABC, its controlled opposition, they will never change it. Bluey is the only thing saving the ABC's bacon because its news dept are completely ideologically captured.
@@assininecomment1630 Well I put up multiple arguments of how the ABC is biased and what do you know it was removed.
Most highly melanated places like Milwaukee and Haiti are horrible most people would agree.
An interesting definition of "talent" 🤔
