    I was about to return mine because I couldn’t get the back reservoir to stop having bubbles. After I watched this video I went to tapping and tiny tiny strokes and within 3 minutes there were no more bubbles

    After you get the air out do you just fill the cylinder the rest of the way full, put the cover on, and then Take the fittings off?

      One fitted to the car, take a fitting off as you put on the brake pipe, otherwise you'll have brake fluid dripping everywhere 😃👍🏻

    How much travel (in mm) do you get at the end of the process?
    I bench bled my MC and I still get a good 1 cm of travel. Does that indicate a bad MC?

    • @SortedGeorgeGarage

      Depends what car it's for. If you have brake fluid coming out of the ports, and all air is gone, then give it a try. Some cars have more travel than others depending on make / model / year 👍🏻

    The rear one on mine will not drip. No matter how long I wait. I even started pushing the piston on with a rod to see if I can jump start the process, and nothing, just dry

      Try fitting it and doing it again with the pedal. If you still have no joy then I'd say send the master back for a replacement 👍🏻

      I’ve got the bad from store.
      Also could b clogged with dirt or piece of brake fluid container seal

    Put a new MC , brake booster,new calipers in the front and new wheel cylinders on the back have no leaks anywhere but still don't have a brake pedal any advise??

    • @SortedGeorgeGarage
      @SortedGeorgeGarage  10 месяцев назад

      So you've bled the MC, then started from the furthest rear wheel cylinder from the MC, then bled to nearest front caliper to the MC, topped up the fluid in the MC and there's definitely no leaks, and pads are touching the discs, I'd ask have you changed the flexi hoses? Even if new are you sure they're OK and not swelling as you push the pedal? If all OK then my first guess would be is the pin from brake pedal to booster/MC adjusted correctly? SGG

      There's no way to adjust it

    • @SortedGeorgeGarage
      @SortedGeorgeGarage  10 месяцев назад

      My 1st port of call I think would be to loosen the brake pipes 1 at a time at MC and make sure you have brake fluid flow from a lose pipe fitting on MC. If you do then your problem lies further down the system. If you have no flow then your problem is top end around MC / Booster / Pedal. It would be interesting to kniw what your problem is if you fix it. Good luck 👍🏻 SGG

    I need proof that that method really works. The proof would be using the clear tube method after this one. No bubbles and it worked. Bubbles and it didn't.

    • @SortedGeorgeGarage
      @SortedGeorgeGarage  Год назад +1

      This method is for those without the clear tubing as clear tubing generally doesn't get supplied with a new master cylinder. Any further air should be bled from the system when bleeding the brakes after install 👍🏻

    Can you explain when you remove the fittings and Tube all the fluid Runs out and put air in the master cylinder all over again

    • @SortedGeorgeGarage
      @SortedGeorgeGarage  Год назад +1

      You're not putting air in again. Think of it as a sink. When you pull the plug the water (not air) runs out. Air doesn't come back up into the sink from the plug hole - water runs out. Same principle. Then when you afix the master cylinder to the car you then bleed the brakes to eradicate any trapped air in the pipes. Hope it helps 👍🏻

    If I’m not getting any air out of 4 calipers, is that means there is no air In the master or master can still have it?
