This was great Jenn! I have been asking wig manufacturers to make more natural blonde rooting. They ALL go to the darker roots. I have even considered making my own, but it's labor intensive. I have NEVER had brown hair in my life, so that makes no sense for me. This is a great way to try different colors. Thanks again!!!
Hi Eileen! I usually shy away as well but I had bought these two envy wigs for a super great deal so i thought well.. ill try rooting them myself lol. Normally Id just get a rooted wig too! thanks for watching :)
Henry Margu 26H is near absolute match to my bio hair. I have Michelle mono top and Jules temple to temple lace front in 26H. I love his wigs, they are finer fibers and not dense. I also have Estetica Jamison in Sunlight Blonde and even Brattin Finishing Touch in lIght blonde. Both are rooted and while I wear them and people compliment me on them, I really can't stand that contrast from the lighter blonde to those dark roots - and both are lighter brown but next to that light blonde, it might as well be black. I'm a natural blonde with gold, light blonde and undertones of ash blonde. Rooted wigs simply don't look natural to me. They all look like brunettes with varying bleach/highlights. So I'll try on my Michelle the dark blonde root touch up. I like that even if I screw up and after washing some of the rooting remains, I'd be okay with that as well. Thanks Jenn for the demo and taking the fear out of the job! I was thinking on the lace fronts couldn't you get a fine tooth comb into the hair to cover the lace as you spray the roots? I wouldn't want my lace fronts to be darkened color.
Thank you so much! I so appreciate your expertise! I wear a Louis Ferre plf005 gold blonde, hand tied human hair wig, I have Alopecia and and love the warm color but would like the wig rooted, but not dark roots, most wigs out there are ash blonde with dark dark roots. I’m a light strawberry blonde ( my natural color ) so your suggestion of rooting it with the L’Oreal root touchup is genius! I really like the color you selected, I can’t thank you enough.
Does the dark blonde have a gold/reddish hue? It appears very gold in the video, but I’m sure that could be the lighting. I’m wondering if the light blonde would cover up some light reddish brown roots on a Belle Tress wig I have in butter beer blonde. Some of them come with this reddish root and I would just like to cover that up so that I have no root or just a shadow. , I thought I would try the light blonde on that. I’m hoping it’s not too gold because I don’t like gold unless it’s blended with a neutral or ash blonde!
No the dark blonde root spray does not have a gold hue to it. It's very neutral. And I have the a butterbeer blonde wig too. I've sprayed the reddish root with just regular dry shampoo and it kind of calms down the reddish color.
@@JustJenn00 I always try to buy rooted wigs cause they look so much more natural. But I bought several that were u rooted when I first started buying wigs so... Now I can root them. Thank you for showing us how to do it
Great video. This is the same technique I use on some of my wigs. Really good to help diguise the mono top. The Loreal root spray is so versatile. I use the same shade, dark blonde. I tried the light blonde and it didn't do a thing for me.
Exactly! Its almost like the light blonde was the same color as the hair so it didnt even look like i sprayed anything on it when I tried it..so i used the dark blonde and it works great..! Thanks for watching 🌸
I’m glad this works for you love. But some us have not been so lucky. Unfortunately myself and several others have had issues using root sprays. The spray has bled onto other fibers and stain them permanently. It could be just certain wigs but I thought you should know it can happen
Thanks for the tip! Ive been using this particular spray for about 6 months and have washed the wigs i used it on, with no issues or bleeding. So far anyways!
So far this spray is really working out for me. Im just too scared to try the markers lol. Especially with the money you could potentially put into a wig and ruin it. Thanks for watching 🌸🌸
Hi Jenn! Very helpful stuff. I'm a NO dark roots gal, so I'm wondering if the lightest shade would be able to mask some dark roots a bit? Whatcha think?? 😁
Honestly i think you might be on to something !!! The lightest blonde shade in the L'Oreal line is very super light I'll bet if you sprayed it on a darker root it would lighten that root up!!! It would be worth a try!!
Does this root spray change the appearance of the mono? Does it make it more obvious, like a grid like appearance? I have a blonde that I want to add a subtle root. I definitely don't want to use anything permanent. Thank you!
Thank you for the video! Is this technique okay to use on human hair or a mix of human/synthetic hair wigs? Also, does this typically wash out with normal wig washing? Thank you to anyone who may reply!
Wonderful!!! Just tried it on my JR Top Notch. I had the magic root but didn’t know how to do it! I have another wig from JR - bought a rooted one, but it’s waaaay too dark-should I return it and get a lighter color and root it or should I try spraying it with this to calm the dark color down?

You are so right! The roots are too dark!
And the dark looks like you desperately need a touch up😂
Very nice, light touch, very natural. Good suggestions as well. Thank you.
This is super helpful, thank you for showing us. I hope this works with a darker root.
great video. i would have not thought to use the root spray but will give it a try now. thanks Jenn.
Thank you, your eyes are so pretty. Love your wigs too. Thanks for info to your friends site too. A. from Oregon
Thank you!! ❤
Thank you, Jenn! I need to try that. I always shy away from non-rooted wigs, but this doesn’t look hard to do at all ☺️

Oh man I wish I would have seen this a couple days ago😅😀😇! I can't wait to try this!
Great job!!

I think you could make some highlights with that root spray. That would look fantastic!!!!
❤ Thank you for sharing, im gonna use that for my hair pieces. 👍
Thanks for watching!!
So very informative - thanks for the tutorial!
Hi Kim 🌸 thanks for watching 😊
That is good spray. I use it on my toppers. I have used eye shadow with a medium makeup brush.
Great idea!!

I really like the first one after you rooted it. I hate plain light blonde wigs without roots
My first wigs I ever wore were unrooted. Once I bought a rooted wig it looked so much more natural. !!

Thanks Jen excellent.
Good tip! I saw a blond wig ruined with markers (brand unknown) a few weeks ago. I definitely would go this route first. Thank you!
So far this spray is really working out for me. Im just too scared to try the markers lol. Especially with the money you could potentially put into a wig and ruin it. Thanks for watching 🌸🌸
You can put rubbing alcohol on the wig to remove the permanent marker...Been there...done that
Very helpful! Thanks for sharing! 👍💯🤗
Thank you for watching ❤
When I used a permanent marker, I used rubbing alcohol to pretty much get rid of the marker with a cotton ball
I love the wig you are using also. Can you tell me what she is called??
Its Brooke by Envy in Light Blonde :)

Jen have you done a review on the Arrow? I find the back and nape don’t lady me long - an tips on this please 🤗

I would say it makes the mono less obvious. Because mine has that grid like appearance as well and it seems to hide it when i do the rooting. :)
I can do this to my clip in extensions!
Yes you could!!
Great video! Can you tell me what wig you are wearing in his video? It looks fantastic on you !!
Its Arrow by Ellen Wille in the color Caramel Lighted :)
Thank you for the video! Is this technique okay to use on human hair or a mix of human/synthetic hair wigs? Also, does this typically wash out with normal wig washing? Thank you to anyone who may reply!
This will wash out with normal wig washing, you can use it on Human hair as well.
What hair are you wearing I love the waves

If it's way too dark is return it and get something lighter .
@@JustJenn00 So I returned the topper and got a lighter one and used your technique and it came out perfect! Thank you so much for all you do
Does the root powder run when you wash the wig?
It doesn't "run"... But it will wash out
Hi Jen. What blonde wig is it that you are spraying the roots?
That is Brooke by Envy in light blonde :)
@@JustJenn00 ok cool 😊
Very nice hon :-)
What's the name of the wig you're spraying here?
Brooke by Envy in Light blonde
Doesn’t that make the hair gummy?
No not at all
