Hear me out- I became a flight attendant to make money and travel at the same time and it was SO worth it. It's very structured and when you 1st get hired you are sent wherever the company needs you. I discovered so many cities in the US I would have NEVER gone to on my own. And when I was on a long layover my husband would fly out and stay with me and it would be like a mini vacation. You also get travel benefits and can fly on any airline for free and to fly international you only pay taxes! Something to think about for those wanting to travel and make $$$ in a more conventional way I guess. Love your videos! :)
Thank you so much for sharing! It's great to hear how much you love your job and the benefits that come with it. What's been one of the places you've flown to that surprised you the most (in the best way)?
@@hopscotchtheglobe I actually got tired of being a flight attendant. So I became a Pilot!! lol It's way more fun to actually fly a plane. But 1 of the cities that surprised me was Richmond, Virginia! People were really nice, art around the city, got to walk along the river, lots of history, great food, and it was never on my list of places to visit but I would totally go back.
@@hopscotchtheglobe Not at the airlines yet! I'm a Commercial, Multi, Instrument rated Pilot starting to instruct to earn my hours. You need 1,500hrs in the US to get to the airlines. But I have a job offer already to fly for Jetblue when I earn all my hours! :)
@@hopscotchtheglobe I’ve been looking into just WorkAway for *ages* and definitely still want to do that, but never really considered teaching English. Used the link to look into it a bit more. I do babysitting as my job now, so I would be able to do that abroad too I’m sure
Absolutely. We have done it and know many others who only travel this way. Our friends in Costa Rica are doing it right now for the next 9 months! It's amazing
I tried to use my culinary skills, and though they would have loved to have me there for a short period of time, they didn't because they wanted someone permanent :(
If you can devise a method for American travelers to work around the Foreign Account Tax Compliant Act (FATCA) and then share it, your viewership in the U.S might explode. A lot of americans would love to travel abroad and relish the world for its riches paid in astonishment. Sadly, Uncle Sam does not want that.
Hands up if you want to travel WHILE earning money in 2023! 👋
me! great video btw!

Any videos or advice on how to get a work visa? (UK, Australia, NZ)
Beautiful video 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it! Are you planning to travel a lot in 2023?
Has anyone tried house sitting? I was interested and started looking into it but it seemed kind of scammy.

@@hopscotchtheglobe is it mostly done by word of mouth or are there websites you trust and recommend? 😊

Did you try other restaurants?
@@hopscotchtheglobe I did but they wanted someone who is EU (Schengen zone) and long-term. But I will keep trying!
Where are you looking?!
@@hopscotchtheglobe Just visiting the restaurants in the area I was visiting.
