- Xiphactinus and Ceratosaurus by popular modder Garguga123 are now live on PC, Xbox, and Playstation!
Venture into the untamed jungles and sprawling grasslands to encounter the Ceratosaurus. This aggressive predator is adorned with venom-laced spines, making its attacks truly lethal. Victims of the Ceratosaurus will erupt in bursts of blood-a gruesome sight, but one that a clever Survivor can use to their advantage. With their incredible speed, Ceratosaurus makes for some of the fastest mounts you'll ever ride.
But don't let your guard down when you venture into the open ocean. There, you'll find shoals of Xiphactinus, voracious fish with insatiable appetites. These relentless predators will attack anything in their path, so you'll need to be quick and strategic to avoid becoming their next meal. Their aggression intensifies in packs, making them even more dangerous.

I really love how the Ceratosaurus is lightning fast. It's basically the new Cheetah of Ark's therapods, such a cool creature to tame. 🦖⚡️
The Xiphactinus is awesome, too, like the hyenas of the sea, and its very special ability to leave the water and flop over land is amazing. 🦈💀

I think this is a great update. Garuga makes some of the best creatures, and for a long time they’ve deserved a spot in the official game. I’m glad him and his team have received the credit they deserve, and I look forward to seeing the rest of the Ark Additions roster become official.

But damn this dude is a nightmare. I remember I left one of my dino on the edge of a forest, I heard a nightmarish scream, I saw some trees falling in the distance and my dino was gone..
I haven't played Ark in many years but these trailers were always the coolest part. Loved logging in and trying to find their spawn points and how to tame them

I will never forget me farming on center then getting jumpscared of this xiphactinus my heart literally just flew away of my body
Why did you guys nerf the Spino? It's DPS and attack power are lower than before. Please fix this because the Spino mounts are now useless. If anything, Spino needed a few more buffs.
1) HP buff from 700 to 950
2) Hydration buff should activates in the rain.
3) Stamina buff from 350 to 500.
3) Melee attacks should be doable in the water.
4) Oxygen should be unlimited like the Baryonyx.
5) Weight carry should get buffed from 350 to 450.
6) Spino should swim and have better turn radius in the water.
7) Use the Spino sail as thermo-regulation to either restore stamina or something else.

The ocean has a new threat that abhors to other ocean creatures
these dinos are fun af but trailer couldve showed off stuff better, like cerato basically has a rhino charge with multiplied dmg, and has a ton of personality as well, kinda like fang from primal. The slide thing its doing is originally like an andrewsarchus slide but a bit bugged atm. Xiphs can also grab stuff midair
Does wild card have beef with the carcha because in both the ceratosaurus and the pyromane trailers the carcha gets surrounded and the whole tribe is targeting the people who have a carcha
If only this was done on release of ASA, I’m already on scorched now. Good on Garuga tho. This is a big achievement.

Moment I saw the cerato I immediately thought of Espinas from monster hunter frontier, especially the thumbnail with green skin and purple spikes
If I recall the inspiration for the cerato was a mix of deviljho with the tail spikes, espinas in coloration, the prehistoric planet Carno with the level up animation, and 1998 Godzilla with the reverse dorsal plates/spikes on the model

Xiphactinus is just what Ark needed to spice up the lackluster oceans that haven't gotten new creatures in years, and as for cerato, it's very exciting to see another life-stealing based creature, and I can't wait to see how it's implemented!

I'll post the instructions on how to duplicate. I want you to spread it as widely as possible so that the developers can urgently fix it.
Important note: I am publishing the original instructions, but it's important to clarify that your virtual machine needs to see your GPU, otherwise the game won't start. If you don't know how to set up a virtual machine, you shouldn't even try.

Requirements:
1. Windows 8.1 OS or Windows 10 (might be not working with Win10 in some cases depends on the build)
2. VM Workstation Pro (also Windows 8.1 / 10 )
3. 2 different HDD drives (one for ASA main + OS and another one for VM ware with ASA + their OS)
4. 2 or more (if more need more VMs) DPS dino in game (with huge damage)
5. Significantly Weak WiFi connection on your computer (your internet speed must be slow and it has to be exactly wireless connection)
6. Turn on VPN on both VM and Main screen
**TO DO IT ON CONSOLES USE MULTIPLE CONSOLES CONNECTED TO SAME WIFI NETWORK**

What to do:
You will have to launch any ascension (need to open tek cave's doors) - that is why make sure you are in full control of server and can make sure NOBODY will be near the tek cave (rendering)
Prepare items you want to duplicate inside some object's (preferably some dino with large size) inventory (has to be enemy target and alive)
Locate the object with loot at the point of tek cave where parts of it will be within an area of tek cave and other part will be in area of game world (outside of cave)
Server has to be high ping (since its ASA it is usually always high ping)
Prepare 2 or more dinos (if more need more VMs) with good weight and damage (make sure not to have item collection disabled) **TO DO IT ON PVE USE WILD DINOS (KNOCKED OUT)**
Locate 1 at the point where it would be within an area of tek cave and the other one outside of tek cave (but yet be able to damage the object with loot)
All dinos must be from DIFFERENT tribes (could be alliance)
Launch ark both on VM and your PC (accounts can be different)
Join the server
Ride all dinos on both screens
Wait until timer is about to refresh (server saves)
At the same time as timer refreshes (server saves) you have to DISABLE WIFI in general (not just PC) and then VERY QUICK Turn it back and simultaneously kill the body with loot on BOTH dinos AT the same time
If you did all correct loot will be transferred into both inventories.
How to get loot from inventories safely (without losing them):
Get dinos far away from each other
Then get loot from 1st dino first, transfer it out (since transfers are disabled atm just duplicate stuff you can put in dedicated storage) and after that get loot from 2nd dino (you may keep it on server or transfer out once transfers open)
Note: it is possible to do ONLY on 1 Device and with same WiFi network!

When will you upgrade your pc 💀 my 3070 and i5 which is considered outdated and lower mid range, gets 120fps locked at medium preset at 1440p 💀

The issue is that they recycled the game and along with the beautiful graphics came many of the same old problems.💀

I know I may be the only one but I kind of feel like the Ceratosaurus is just a little too fast. I mean if you could turn off it's charging run that would be nice or just keep it like a baseline speed like maybe what halfway in the meter. I don't like needing to stop constantly just to not overshoot my destination.
