I would love to dedicate this from my book to you two intrepid sailors: Armchair Sailor * Don’t be like me! Don’t waste your life in wishful fantasy! Last night, I met the sailor who dared to live my dream. This Don Giovanni of the Sea, having beguiled a hundred women and who would love a dozen more, has sailed the Seven Oceans, instead of me. He’s listened to the tenor of his rigging, and matched the joyous basso-buffo of his anchor chain, while harmonizing with his latest curvy mate in the duets of love. Quaintly sequestered coves on lushly verdant isles replenished his bruised sailor’s soul. Forgetting Neptune’s battering, it was replaced by new-inspired quest for yet another goal. He’s haggled with a multitude of tongues and laughed with many-peopled hosts. Traversing fatal shipping lanes and lame conventions, he’s fended off the beckoning of unforgiving water ghosts. He stole my dream! I had to stay behind, on land. How could I do otherwise? He has a boat. He has no ties. He also has the courage.
Always fun watching you two, they will always be rough seas, but at the same time, you’re always be the flat perfect home that we all love of the ocean
Well done you two. That was a tester. But...... you can now enjoy increased confidence in you boat and in yourselves. Going to sea is not all beer and skittles as you've found out. She's a tough mistress. Good on yez.
After the third reef theres bare masts and drogues to keep you surfing straight down the waves. Glad you learnt the advantage of plastic or metal 🥣 🍜 for meals and cups with lids .....
That was fun....😂 take a look at the Windelo 54 and the Broad blue Rapier 550 cat configurations. But theres an ex racer in the Caribbean thats been converted to a cruiser.... Check it out it has exposed helms and they had to rig rigid screens because at high speeds and in choppy water the bows send a plume of water back over the helm stations.. Shes just one a challenge race this year. The names Funjin.
You might have been shadowed by a fisheries or customs vessel .. ilegal fishing and smuggling is a massive problem even in territorial waters and maritime reserve's.
Lol ... that last line should read ....just won a inter island challenge race... She got her nose dug in at high speed whilst flying the opposite hull at high speed and the guy at the helm flipped her over... hence a year long rebuild. Hugely overpowered and even the raised polynesian style bows couldnt stop the nose digging in

What the heck is a reef? I’m about to take a three day sailing 101 course. I probably should know some of this terminology.
Your taking a sailing course?!! Awesome!
