Lisa, you’re such a gem. I turned 55 this past January, and I have to say that when I turned 40 a light bulb went off and I just haven’t looked back. It’s been wonderful. I did a similar retreat in my late 40’s called Gratitude Training. I hired a life coach prior & he invited me (he was one of the speakers for the weekend). So many people asked what it was, how it was…and my answer was “it was the most painful, most wonderful experience of my life. Painful that we DUG DEEP into the why’s and wonderful that I just looked at myself and others with different lenses. I learned to have more compassion, more understanding, more mercy, and like you said just more peace all around. First and foremost all the above for and to myself, because how I feel about myself is how I’m going to see the world. Thank you for sharing yourself with us. 🙏🏻❤️

Hey Lisa That was such a lovely video 🥰 I’m currently listening to an audiobook by Mo Gawdat called ‘Solve for Happy’, and I’m only a couple of hours into 11 hours of the book and I’m finding it to be ‘life changing’. Being able to benefit from these types of teachings is something I would never have thought of or wanted to do when I was younger. I’m almost 54 and have recently had a devastating medical diagnosis that probably would have destroyed me mentally, even 5 years ago, but getting older really is just such a blessing in so many ways. Admittedly I don’t particularly like the physical aging process, but this book is even changing the way I look at that. Anyways, wishing you continued success in your life and business sweet lady. Lisa, you are 100% incredible. Then again, I knew that from the very 1st time I saw one of your videos. You are smart, resourceful, kind, loving, and probably one of the most honest and genuine people on RUclips, and real life. Now, I could never picture you as a "bad" girl, LOL. The thought of you smoking is something I can't fathom. And I can relate to 40lb weight gains, working out all the time, and not seeing results, because I too, ate like crap. The past year, for some reason, I can't get my eating under control. I'm still vegan, but indulging in too many sweets and chocolates. Putting on 5lbs is making me miserable, but I know that there could be things that are a lot worse. You are so right. Having a child is indescribable. When I held Rachel for the 1st time, it was like nothing that I had ever felt before. With Lindsay, it was wondrous, but I knew what to expect. Now, being a grandmom, is something I can't begin to describe, especially since I've never experienced boy babies. Henry fills my heart and soul in so many ways. Aww Missy! Doing all this work on myself over the last couple of years has been a beautiful journey! Life was good but I had no idea how beautiful it could be and how peaceful and joyous I could feel everyday, in the absence of a big external accomplishment. We are conditioned and taught to always move the goal post, to keep hustling for the next big thing... but when you find joy and gratitude in the NOW, in the present, you start attracting more things to be grateful for. I encourage you to find time to discover more about you, and find time to make practices that help you do that. :) For me, its meditation, gratitude journaling, the Hoffman Process was a very transformative, walking in nature and just listening to it (no music, no distractions)

I’m hopeless at almost 64 😢”. I had some bad sunburns in my teens and 20’s and no matter what I do, at 63 it’s going to come flying out of the closet and can’t be pushed back in. I’m trying to except it all. I’ve used my dermatologist’s recommendation cosmeceutical grade skin products always. Your skin is over 20 years younger and you can wear everything and anything and look really beautiful and…I would rather watch you than someone my age. Honestly, you are so refreshing and honest and I love your brushes and techniques! I do watch Angie and Michelle Wang but, neither of them are my age either 😂. You are just honest about products without a hint of rudeness ♥️ I’m hoping to complete my BK Beauty brushes slowly so I have them all♥️

Now, I could never picture you as a "bad" girl, LOL. The thought of you smoking is something I can't fathom.
And I can relate to 40lb weight gains, working out all the time, and not seeing results, because I too, ate like crap.
The past year, for some reason, I can't get my eating under control. I'm still vegan, but indulging in too many sweets and chocolates. Putting on 5lbs is making me miserable, but I know that there could be things that are a lot worse.
You are so right. Having a child is indescribable. When I held Rachel for the 1st time, it was like nothing that I had ever felt before. With Lindsay, it was wondrous, but I knew what to expect.
Now, being a grandmom, is something I can't begin to describe, especially since I've never experienced boy babies. Henry fills my heart and soul in so many ways. I'm so lucky that I get to watch him 2 days a week, and seeing him develop into his own person.

As you talked I found myself relating to SO much of this - from the younger self enjoying the night life self to the less than desirable relationship with food and how it shows up in life self, to the introvert self, to the easily obsessive beauty consumer…. I genuinely could have answered so much of these same things and been speaking about my life. I’m motivated by how you describe being in such a great place, I’m very intrigued by the Hoffman experience and am in much need of life balance - 2023 is my last year in my 40s and I eat like a teenager, work way way too much-- so many ideas and things I’d love to improve on- Thank you for this!!! Aww Missy! Doing all this work on myself over the last couple of years has been a beautiful journey! Life was good but I had no idea how beautiful it could be and how peaceful and joyous I could feel everyday, in the absence of a big external accomplishment. We are conditioned and taught to always move the goal post, to keep hustling for the next big thing... but when you find joy and gratitude in the NOW, in the present, you start attracting more things to be grateful for. I encourage you to find time to discover more about you, and find time to make practices that help you do that. :) For me, its meditation, gratitude journaling, the Hoffman Process was a very transformative, walking in nature and just listening to it (no music, no distractions)

First of all, I’m so happy you are 40! I had you mixed up with one other Makeup/lifestyle vlogger who I now know is mid to later 40’s. I kept thinking “Wow, Lisa looks like she’s 30! She definitely has taken care of her skin early on. I’m hopeless at almost 64 😢”. I had some bad sunburns in my teens and 20’s and no matter what I do, at 63 it’s going to come flying out of the closet and can’t be pushed back in. I’m trying to except it all. I’ve used my dermatologist’s recommendation cosmeceutical grade skin products always.
Your skin is over 20 years younger and you can wear everything and anything and look really beautiful and…I would rather watch you than someone my age.
