Would love to see you collaborate on tips specifically for us more “seasoned” ladies. There are things I’d love to try, but don’t know how to take wrinkles/fine lines into consideration.
@@lisajmakeupI couldn't see what method Nikki used to warm up the eyeliner pencil. It was out of frame. Can I just use my wrist or....? If anyone else reading this knows, I'm open for suggestions from anyone, please! ❤
Today i was practicing my makeup. Yes im 47 and practice . And i used a new liner. I don't like using wet liners because they are too bold , so I put a brown tightlined it on the top . I went into the kitchen and my husband looked st me and told me , " oh you look pretty" . He's the type that never says that bc he feels that I should already know that he finds me pretty after 13 years together. And he's right. But just the fact that all I did was put a little liner on my eye and some Jones road balm on my cheeks, he was inclined to tell me how I looked. It was perfect bc I like to wear minimal makeup bc my skin is really healthy and youthful from grear skin care that I do. So just emphasizing my natural beauty is my number one goal. ❤
I just ordered my brush set and a couple other singles of the BK eye brushes. THE BEST BRUSHES EVER!! I have several BK brushes and they are absolutely worth every penny. I have so many brushes but there is such a distinct difference between those and BK. I’m slowly purchasing all BK brushes. lol. Did I say how much I love BK Brushes?😂 And this collaboration is beautiful and genuine. I’m so happy for Nikki…deserves tons more recognition for her talent. And Lisa is extremely talented and you can tell she truly has a passion for her business and makeup. Wonderful women!
Lisa seems so humble and like a really GREAT friend who keeps putting fabulous women in places of opportunity and growth so round of applause for that 👏🏼. These two together tho 😅 (been following and fan-girling on Nikki for longer) there is something about Nikki’s voice that I could listen to FOREVER ❤️
Love these tips ladies. I’ve been doing the darker shadow outer corner & inner corner highlight placement ever since watching this video. Total game changer for my 56 yr old eyes. Thank you so much. You ladies are the best teachers. Sending lots of love from Australia 🤗
I LOVED this! I’m in my late 30s and haven’t worn makeup in YEARS so I feel like I’m starting over. Products are so much different than they were years ago. I learned so much.
I never even knew that tight lining was a thing until very recently, but finally saw a great tightlining tutorial by Rose Siard (Rose Makeup World) and now i do it all the time and i love it!
I am loving Nikki’s BK Brushes! The double sided brush is so good for cream and powder blush or concealer then powder. The brush is loosely packed and it makes so much sense. My favorite brush from the set is the liner brush. It is much longer than any other liner brush that I own. Oooh, that Surratt Beauty 6 pan eyeshadow is gorgeous! ❤
You girls are fabulous together. Not only do you have a professional relationship, but such a great friendship. I so enjoy watching you both and your incredible talent. Thank you for the great tips. Have a wonderful weekend❣️😘💕😘
I would love 💗 for this to be an ongoing series!!! And I definitely 💯 hope that they will release Nikki’s brushes individually! I purchased the set and I already want a couple of the same brush.

I spent 14 years in retail cosmetics, working for Prescriptives, MAC and as a Nordstrom Cosmetics Manager in Tucson, Seattle, LA/OC and Dallas. I DO NOT miss working retail (😂😂😂), HOWEVER I do miss the education and inspiration of working around talented artists. You two are filling that void for me. THANK YOU!!!
@@lisajmakeup For sure! I had the privilege of starting with MAC in 1996, before the Lauder takeover. What a special time that was! We had the MOST talented artists imaginable and were turning the beauty industry on its head.
This was so fun. I am a makeup girlie and loved the tips, especially about the placement of a dab of eye shadow in the outter corner. This was the perfect blend of artists. I have hooded eyes but am young and like to have fun with my eye shadow too.
I do love pro tips. I wear contacts so tight lining has been verboten. I’ll wait until my Nikki brushes arrive. I love the layering technique for the inner corner highlighting. Lisa always has trick and tips for more textured skin. The two of you are obviously soul sisters ♥️🌹

Hi lovely 🥰 Ladies!!! I have a question for you both. I was watching Sofia Sees Beauty today. It was a demo using Nikki’s new brushes with BK Beauty. Are these brushes NOT meant for beginners? She was saying that Nikki’s brushes are very different from beginner brushes so she was recommending other BK brushes. I left that video feeling a little confused. I purchased Nikki’s brush set and I’m good at applying makeup but I’m not a makeup artist or expert! She also mentioned that the big powder brush isn’t going to work well for bronzer because it’s too small and too big for the cheeks. She wasn’t bashing the brushes but I left feeling like I said confused. Oh the other thing she mentioned was that Nikki’s brushes are more for “sheer makeup application” and that you “won’t achieve a full coverage look with the foundation brush” She said they are great brushes but like I said I left feeling confused.
It’s important to know that Nikkia’s brushes are multi use and it’s important to experiment, Sofia’s style of makeup and the way she applies makeup may not be the same as yours, so watch Nikki’s video on the brushes, how she uses them and how her makeup is applied with the brushes and try it for yourself. Remember they’re multi purpose brush set so the foundation brush can also be used for applying a pressed powder depending on which side you use.
Hi! Sorry for the delay, in replying to this question. :) Nikki's brushes are very multipurpose and versatile. I actually love the N15 for bronzer, it fits my face well and it's been my new cream bronzer brush. The foundation brush can give a more natural application, but if you use it with a full coverage foundation, you can still get full coverage. It's just a different method for blending out. Have you had a chance to play with them yet and see how they work? When using the N17 foundation brush I would use the lighter side for cream or liquids :)
OMG. Love you two. We need weekly collaborations please😂. Between both of you I have completely leveled up my under eye concealer/ colour correction in the last fortnight, and how funny you both have the same tip about hydrating right before application!!Over time, I can’t even say how much I have learned from you both. You clearly both are passionate about education.
I watched early this morning and used all the techniques you shared. Wow! My makeup looked so good, soft, natural but better. I used the Tart in bloom pallet since I don’t have the Mario pallet and still so so pretty. This was an amazing video and format. 2 of my favorite women! Please do more!
Both of you are so beautiful woman..I love your tutorial make up so natural.. I wish you will have also make up tutorial, tips and tricks for mature women (65 upward ) thank you
This video is sooo good. What great tips! The BK Beauty Nikki La Rose brushes came today so I got to try the tips using the brushes as you all talked about them. I would love more tips on color correcting. I have really dark circles under my eyes and the color correctors that I have tried make my concealer look bumpy, caking and not smooth. Any tips, tricks or even ideas about what I may be doing wrong would be deeply appreciated! Thank again!
Thank you so much!! I hope you love them! And yes, I need to get the palette from the studio and compare online. They didn't have names under the pans unfortunately.
Just use it on the back of your hand so you body heat warms it up a little. Depending on the formula and if it dried a little bit, it can glide right away or it can need a few extra seconds to be creamy and confortable to use.
