The silent stare, distancing yourself, and stopping the need to explain-each strategy is a game-changer. Thank you for sharing these insightful tips with such thoughtfulness!
Im 70, and single man, and baby of a toxic family, and all my life have had to be low man on the totem pole and never in authority over others. Always havingto explain my self and answering to others, and being kind to harsh, mean people. I need to stop depending on other;s respect or not respecting me, I must stop people pleasing as it has ruined my life, I always feel guilt when i assert myself. It is extremely hard for me as a HSP empath man, but i must start standing tall as a six foot six man. and respecting myself for a change.
A loved one of mine sent me a venomous essay through a multiperson text group. I did not say anything but other people put this person in their place. I agree with your example of the silent stare.
I have found that asking the disrespectful person to repeat the insult will either cause them to change their words (maybe they didn't mean what they said), or, if they do repeat the insult, you have no doubt who they are and everyone else present will also know who this person is.
I wish I knew the author of these phenomenal videos as whether male or female I would love to be their friend and to have a good friend like them in my world❤
*This video is a game-changer! The silent stare technique is such a simple yet powerful way to reclaim self-respect. Thank you for breaking it down so effectively*
If someone asked me about my decision I don't mind explaining but when people try to put me down because of my decision I tell them "ill figure it out" I don't let people sway my decisions
1) look down at your finger nails. Examine them, with curiosity. 2) Look around at others, as you casually point at the person. This moves the focus from you, to them. 3) Say "are you okay?", "look at you. Having a bad day?", "What's wrong with you?", (something like this)...say it with a smirk on your face. Done! Edit: If you are going to stare someone in the face, look at their eyebrows.
I always like hearing your insights on handling yourself around others. It makes my day and helps me to cope with rude people especially a Dr. I have to see on occasion. 🌹❤️
Im hooled on these videos. They're so insightful and straight to the point. Keep em' coming. It's true what they say, the best reaction is no reaction at all. It's empowering when I convey to someone who' s disrespectful, that their opinion, judgement, etc etc, has no effecf on me. It's as though they've been disarmed. Incredibly liberating.
Respect is earned, not demanded. These Stoic principles remind us to stay grounded, set boundaries, and never let disrespect shake our inner peace. A powerful guide to handling tough situations!

Nice.
❤❤❤😮😮😮 thank you, now I know
A silent stare works only if people stop talking. If they continue to talk it has no weight at all.
Just never stew in anyone’s concoction. You don’t have to respond. Don’t look angry and walk away.
I m not playing the game
