Apparently, the folks in the first barbershop all got stunned to see a white man asking for a haircut. Luckily, the next barbershop is not full and the barber was able to accommodate you.
Mike, that massage at the end is a regular thing that barbers do. As a kid, I disliked it then loved it when I became a teenager into adulthood. It is such a good bonus that deserves a tip. I am now living outside the Philippines, no massage after haircut. And haircut is expensive.
You look great. I like to tips well too because I know they rely on tips to make decent living. Also, they remember you and will treat you well next time.
