Just hooked mine up.The configuration to get it running was a royal P.I.T.A.but somehow got it running and I was blown away when the fader moved on it's own.Maybe in a couple yrs I'll get the f8.

I had a faderport 8 and it was absolutely awesome. Only reason I sold it was for medical bills after a neurological diagnosis... miss that thing so much

It's a treasured product you got there honestly! I just got the Faderport V2, intended to use it for Cubase, packed it up again and back to where I bought it. The way it works isn't the same as the classic where you can select whatever track in your session and the Faderport recognises it. In the V2 it works with a bank of 8 channels which is a massive mess when you have 80, 90 tracks... I don't see myself press the bank button 1000x to reach the first track of my session... Great video tho!
Great feedback! I recently upgraded to the ioStation 24-c. It definitely took some getting used to.
Being a drummer trying to record live this is a necessity,keyboards,synths, percussion,guitars)this is a huge relief as a solo artist.🤖

Wow J, thanks so much for answering my question! This is exactly what I feel like I’m missing when I’m working at home. I feel like the panning knob would be invaluable, and watching how quickly you could record and re-record looks like a game changer. Especially if you’re doing video work at the same time. I work with Logic so I need to look more into compatibility, but it looks like a product I could get behind.

Have you tried using deoxit? I’ve had similar happen when a midi keyboard sat a while, like in a basement. Oxidization builds. Hit it it with some deoxit gold. After 3 applications, functionality came right back, seemed to perform even better than before. Maybe deoxit D5 works even better. Perhaps, hands being wet or perspiring just enough for to it sink into contacts and cause “rust”.
Should of tried it. I’ve since moved on to other controllers. But worth trying for sure.

I wonder if you connect a foot switch you could start to play that way since the button went bad.

Hi, just subscribed today, got my hands on a lightly used model, the same fader port as this one. Hopefully it still works fine with studio one, even in 2023..
does the classic faderport work flawlessly with Studio One 6? I have one laying around
I’m not 100% sure. It was giving me a hard time on version 5. Unsure if it was my unit specifically or the system.
Buy a logitech keyboard with all the Studio One shortcuts marked on them, far more useful
Can i use the Fader for Midi CC Control like Modulation?
