The historical value of your vocasts is astounding. Not only are we getting a glimpse at what historical figures may have resembled, we are getting the facts as your research has uncovered and each new fact----like Pyrrhic Victory---strengthens our view of who we are and where we come from. What is unquestionably the most disturbing thing about human beings, is our thirst for battle, for settling disputes by going to war. The Ukraine / Russian war shows us yet another Pyrric victory, but this time for both sides...

How can the Ukrainians fighting to defend their home country against a hostile invader be considered a pyrrhic victory? By saying so, it sounds like you are in favor that the Ukrainians conceded to the Russians? Also, the Ukrainians are the underdogs in this conflict. A comedian president against an ex-KGB agent? And then there is the consideration of how important the Ukraine is to protecting democracy for Europe and the rest of the world. Are you saying that the cost is too high to protect democracy? I don't believe that this defines a pyrrhic victory.

Ah..protecting our assets and testing our weapons. Happens when our president and government is weak by corruption. Wonder where our gear left in the middle east is? Remember that? Why aren't you angry when your own government wants to kill you? East Palestine anyone?

Thank you for this history lesson on king Pyrrhus. I didn’t know about him. I really appreciate your hard work. I hope one day you can do Hypatia, Orestes, Cyril and their story to life.

Their real story will be fundamentally different than whatever fantasy is depicted in the movie Agora.

Most definitely. The first time I heard about her was on Carl Sagan’s Cosmos the Voyage Home. That was years ago. His documentary was different from the movie.

Nice work, again. I would love to see your recreations of Augustus' and Tiberius' extended families. There are really good representative marble sculptures for most (if not all) of them. Likewise some of the Hasmonaean and Herodian rulers of Judea have marvelous lifelike sculptures.
