Hi Glenda. TY for sharing this shawl! Its beautiful & it's my current project! I've watched another video whereby you used 2 skeins at the same time. At that time, I was newer than a noobie I understood the tutorial just fine. I've got several months under my belt now, so I was so surprised to be so confused with this video! It seemed like there was some reference as if using a single strand, but most of it was inclusive of the 2 strings of yarn. It may just be my brain twisting things. I perused comments & didn't notice anyone else having trouble. I get the concept of the double yarn, I just thought I heard instruction go back & forth here & there. I turned down the volume, watched your lovely hands & I was on my way! I enjoy watching you & learning. Thank you so much for sharing your gift! Blessings to you & yours ♥️
I’m SO glad I’m a subscriber and get ALL of your videos alerts! I’ve been wanting to make “ME” a special shawl. I lost my Nym and we have the same crochet passion (she taught me when I was 8). Holidays are SUPER hard for me. This Prayer Shawl is the answer to my loneness 💜💚💙 Bless you 😇🙏
I'm loving this pattern. I started it for my mom in Bamboo Pop. Doing solid cuz it's what she wanted, but I'm definitely gonna make another one in colorful variegated
That is beautiful I started to read the comments and most of us can’t afford this yarn usually you give us another one to use especially since I make a lot of your videos.and so do others It is pretty. But this one I guess I will have to pass doing. Your daughter looks pretty in the shawl
it very pretty. i hope you have a Merry Christmas. my hubby was told that he has liver cancer. so our Christmas is sad this year. we will make the best it is. thank you for video
Ohhhh Glenda, I absolutely love this shawl. What perfect timing for this. I just told my daughter after Christmas I'm making myself something and now I know what I'm making. Merry Christmas to you and your family. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season. I will post pictures in Facebook when I get it done. Thank you so much for all that you do for us. 😍😍
Hi Glenda, your shawl is beautiful. I was just on Hobium site and saw the yarn, now have to go back and order it. I love all the colors of yarn you showed! Thanks so much for your video!
Beyond confusing being visually impaired you say the amount of loops it's being pulled through. Took me months to figure out you mean one loop from each skein to you means two loops. Ive never heard it said this way. It's always given that those two will always be strung together so they are one. So four loops means two loops of both strung together. This made the world of difference. Now I'm flying through. I can't wait to see how it turns out. Your shawl is gorgeous!
So beautiful I love love love I need those colors I hope this discount will be for some time - I must be honest and say that I have never fallen in love with any yarn just by viewing it on the screen I said to hubby I need that yarn!!! My birthday is the 29 hopefully I will be able to get this
Oh this is absolutely beautiful I know a few people who would love to have this prayer shawl.. I'm going to ask for yarn for Christmas if anyone asks what I would want or need lol
Has anyone tried this with just one thread of yarn? It is beautiful. Do you think if I use a larger hook and yarn perhaps a 4 weight with a 4.5 hook that it might work. Thank you for making this great video🙂
Beautiful and Gorgeous!! 💗 Lovely! I’m going to make a prayer shawl for a friend of mine. She has many chemo treatments ahead. The yarn looks super soft! I have 1.5 size yarn 🧶 or size 4 would those sizes be okay too? Size 4 would i still need two strands of yarn?
Hi Creative Grandma, I would really like to know what makes a Prayer Shawl. Does it have to be a certain size, color or what? I keep seeing them but have no idea what qualifies them as a Prayer Shawl and would love to know! Thank you so much for your help.
I have a question. Would there be any reason I couldn't do a row of single crochets then do the pattern? I can't work into foundation chains due to low vision very well especially with such a small yarn
Just letting you know another channel has copied this shawl and claiming it as their own. Idk if you're the original designer but I think you are if I'm not mistaken. The channel is Jonah's hands
Very pretty Glenda I almost changed my mind because it looks like sunrises and sunsets or rainbows!!!:). But I was wanting a prayer shawl with two different stitches alternating !!! How can I tell you without telling the whole world?? They’re not my stitches, but it’s my idea? But your the only one I want to have create it! What makes a shawl a prayer shawl?
You're the only other person that ive ever seen that doesn't use their pointer finger to feed the yarn. You use your middle finger. I do that too. For the life of me I can't do it with my pointer finger
Ok..I have gotten to the end of my chain . Just finished doing the triple crochet sequence and I have 4 chains left. I totally did not see or understand what you did at the end. I didnt see how you finished it???? Help! I know I didnt miss any chains🙄
I'm still having a frustrating time if it. I can't listen to the instructions bc they are too confusing. Is it really 4 loops on the hook or 8 or 2? I like this shawl a lot for a particular individual or I would move on & crochet something else. I'm working by visual only. 😕🤒

What a beautiful shawl! I would have never known how gorgeous 2 strands taken together would look!! Thanks for the thorough tutorial!
So nice to meet you. Gorgeous shawl. I want it in the exact same color you make it. Never heard of that yarn but it looks great.
Good to see your daughter modeling the shawl. Miss watching her on her channel. The alternate yarn you are showing is really lovely, looks very soft.

It's beautiful! It has almost a "feather and fan" knitted pattern. Just really lovely. Not too warm for a summer evening. Thank you.
My goodness. This is beautiful! I love all of the colors.

Its pretty and the pattern reminds me of Wagon wheels. I happen to be Left Handed. This would be better as an Afghan Blanket.

I'd like to know that also.
My understanding of a prayer shall is that every stitch is prayed over and then the shawl is used in prayer by the recipient
However I could be wrong
Very pretty! Thank you for sharing...🎄😊❤
Wow it’s beautiful.
You're the only other person that ive ever seen that doesn't use their pointer finger to feed the yarn. You use your middle finger. I do that too. For the life of me I can't do it with my pointer finger
Awesome shawl. Wow
Thank you very much! Merry Christmas
Ceci n'est pas un châle mais une étole, très belle, d'ailleurs.
Just gorgeous!
Beautiful shawl thanks for sharing
very pretty
I’m making in Caron cotton!
Can I use one strand instead of two? If so how much yarn I would need to make the Afghan? Thank you.
wow, that is so gorgeous! thank you for the pattern ♡ I subscribed :)
very beautiful
I also gravitate toward bright rainbow type colorways.
Beautiful 💜
Beautiful
Beautiful 💞
I'm allergic to wool so sadly can't buy this yarn but would love to make it in other yarn.
Would this pattern work up well with LB shawl in a ball? If so how many skeins or cakes should I get to make it this size?
What is the st count I want to make it smaller not as long? Please and Thank you....
Ok..I have gotten to the end of my chain . Just finished doing the triple crochet sequence and I have 4 chains left. I totally did not see or understand what you did at the end. I didnt see how you finished it???? Help! I know I didnt miss any chains🙄

Try making a small swatch using a single yarn Lorrie.. That should give a fair idea about the number of loops any given time.
If your using 2 strands of yarn, then 2 strands count as one loop. So if you have 6 strands on your hook, it would count as 3 loops.
Thank you for the advice! Every time I think I've made it to intermediate I find I'm still a beginner!
I love that yarn. But I went to web site and they are sold out except 2 colors!!!!
