Knights of the round might be pushing it if we're actually summoning ALL the knights, they might cut it to just King Arthur whom you directly summon and his attacks and abilities call out the others

Game is beautiful and really well done, we have to agree with that. But i think it's an entirely different feeling when you play the turn-based, theres so much secret and so much content. The missable things used to give a whole new feeling to the game of curiosity and anger

I have to say that remastered port looks and sounds nice and I think we are all in a way happy it wasn’t a faithful remake so then we can still go back and enjoy the original for its own worth
I have to say, I prefer the originals more. They felt like more of an epic moment than the remake. They really need to tone down the particle effects in modern games. It becomes so much visual noise that its hard to even tell what is happening. And the vibe between the two game is totally different unfortunately.
Remember guys this isn't the original seven those summons and scenes had way more polygon jitter. This is one of the remasters. My nostalgia wants to say original seven but I do need to keep an open mind or stay stuck it in the past.
Honestly I keep the original the og and the remake exactly what it is a remake for us old heads to see the game we loved so much in next gen graphics and to run around and fight like they did in the cutscenes and how we all imagined. Og will always be Og no need to try and compare. Outside of that the remake hit the nostalgia moments we all wanted. In my humble opinion it’s doing a damn good job! Just enjoy it for what it is and the ride will be so much better!

I like the remake a lot i dont get the hate sure nostalgia bla bla bla but rebirth really surpassed my expectations when it came to gameplay world building minigames summons side quests and story. It was really huge and i really liked it.
Old ones are so much better. Just simple but great, with summons really impressive in what they do, good camera on them, nothing superfluous. OK, it's maybe a little too static because of the hardware and the possibility at this time, but it was pretty nice. The new ones have all "modern" defaults. Over cut, zoom/dezoom, camera moving all the time, it's not very pleasant to see. And it's even not impressive. I prefer a good shot with the camera far away but i can see all the Summons Creatures and what they do (like Phenix or Ramuh), than the zoom/dezoom, just the face, then all the size, then the camera moving all around, then focus on the explosion, and on the creature again but too close so dezooming, and all the time the camera is moving.... For some summons i count the cuts, in the original we have like 7 cuts for the most of them, for some only 2 and a zoom/dezoom (like Ramuh). In the modern version it's so many cuts, like 12 or 14, and i don't count when the camera is focus on the characters but only on the summons! And if you add to this that everything is moving all the time.... Just give me a headache and the desire to skip those summons animations all the time as fast as possible, when in the original FF 7 i liked to watch them! (but not knights of the round, which was tooo long lol)
i love the old ff7 but the new one isnt that bad, recently play the rebirth on my new tv and its even better than 1st part i played on my pc. but tbf i love the old limit break more than the new one 😁😁
Hit the nail with everything you said , I prefer the simple way ( less is more, more is less) . Also for the battles I can't even enjoy the music with all the voices when they attack , move or getting hit. The battles are too chaotic for my taste
The normal Bahamut looked a bit skinny to me. Almost like a juvenile Bahamut. It's a fricking dragon it should be a monster to behold. They better do Zero justice.
FFVII original had better art direction. You can see the clean summon, in another place, entirety. Remake and Rebirth have so much lights and they're same screen size.
This is the problem devs run into often I find. Ff15 tries to live upto the epic size difference between human and summoned being when you get to summon Ramuh that instantly wipes out an entire barrack of soldiers, but downsizing to fit modern gaming is the way they are taking things it looks, although I like what they've done in Ff16
Other than Neo Bahamut being nerfed to some little weird half-lovecraft-lookin garbage, I absolutely love how they remastered all of the others into such amazing sights, true tributes to the awe the original inspired.
I dont know maybe its Just me but I like the originals better. On OG FF7 when you called a summon it felt like you were calling some acient god to destroy your enemies. Remake/Rebirth looks like really pretty pokemon that you call to beat up your apponent in a tornement.
The reason why i dont play game anymore, because i dont know what the hell is character doing?..a mess of light or flash...too fast and not like a spell or magic it look like a spot of light and nothing special to me😢😢😢

I really liked the remakes so far but back in the day you actually got to enjoy watching each summon scene right away and at the same time see all the details, but now you have to wait for the summon bar and all that and at the same time try to see what is actually going on with all the effects and camera angles lol

I'm old, I finished ff VII in Japanese, without a guide... taking into account that I'm Brazilian and I only speak, read and understand Portuguese. That's why I prefer the original game.
Some from the original were better and some in Rebirth are def improvements. Sometimes I still wish we would have just got a true 4k remaster. No way in hell KotR will match up to the original. Plus i wish the camera would zoom out just a bit more to get a full cinematic experience of the major attacks.

cant get into the new ones ive tried rebirth and the recent ff16 ff7 was my childhood game one of my first rpg games the story the combat ive played and completed it so many times with rebirth they taken alot of elements away what made ff7 so great the turn base i loved that where you have to have a strategy before you battle and hours of grinding levelling up with the new ones they have taken away turn base now its basically just a hack and slash turned it into devil may cry the added voices as well i liked it when it was just text because it left alot to your imagination just kept you engaged at all times. i cant stand that they have turned todays games into movies if i wanted to watch a film i would watch a film but i just want to game not watch cut scenes the new ff16 is worse one ive ever played around 30 hours of game play most of that you will spend watching the cutscenes. someone new to the series should defiantly play the originals specially ff7 and forget about the new ones.

I don't like the ffx style of the summons having to build up a meter in rebirth to cast their ultimates, it should be like the original where they are summoned and do their ultimates
The camera movement and particle effects are too much for me in the remake. Most of the new summons look as if they are dancing in the battlefield instead of attacking the enemies.

If you want to recreate the images from 2024 on a console from 1997, you'll have to replace the CD every time you summon it.

I don't like the ffx style of the summons having to build up a meter in rebirth to cast their ultimates, it should be like the original where they are summoned and do their ultimates

The camera movement and particle effects are too much for me in the remake. Most of the new summons look as if they are dancing in the battlefield instead of attacking the enemies.

Considering that’s the most powerful summon in the game, it makes sense they’d save it for the end.
I guess kotr will appear just like bahamut in ff14 or whatever, it would be epic if kotr protecting them from sephiroth's supernova
Not to mention you need to breed chocobo in order to get it.
I believe they will saved that for part3 along with bahamut zero

やっぱりオリジナルがいいな。しっかり召喚獣として戦ってくれている演出もいい。リバースは絵は綺麗にはなっているが何かゴチャゴチャして分からない。
