Yeah it's a great spot. You can't drive to the river at the campground, but you can about 5-minutes down the road at the bridge. If you want to stay there, there is a cost but it's not too bad. I was there for four nights I think (maybe 3). But there are day trippers who come, and a parking area set up for them that I don't believe requires any fee.

What’s access like with a 19ft caravan?
Fine mate! Some light dirt road, but not very bumpy or challenging. I think you'd be fine. The first time we went we had huge caravans in the group.
