** A couple years ago before I took my year off of school, I was getting kinda down and listening to some grunge and black metal and this is one of the songs that I was listening to a lot. Fast forward to a couple months ago and the band that I keep talking about wanted me to learn this song, and so I finally learnt it. It wasn't until I saw Grunge Fest at House of Blues here that I thought that I should cover it for RUclips. It was a cool show, but I don't know why I didn't think to cover it sooner

Started playing electric guitar recently couple weeks back ( have 2 electric guitars) and I'm about to now get my first ever bass guitar now too , hopefully it doesn't take a while lol. While I'm waiting, I'm practicing certain bass tracks on my electric guitar for now so i can learn some easy ones and your channel has had some awesome tabs that i need. Subbed for sure so i can find some more down the line . Keep on rockin my Dude 🤟

Figured I'd check to see if you covered it...and of course you did! Go back to hair length between short and long, like around the length from 2 yrs ago, (Aerosmith Crying vid length or so. You'll have the length and fullness without the long hair hassle:) LOL Happy Thanksgiving!

So I got tabs many many years ago that showed the bass for chorus going:
E-G-A-B-G G-A-B-D-D D-Gb-G-A-A A-D#-D-Eb-E and it repeats. The last note on one sequence is the first note in the next sequence.
It starts out on the D string 2d fret (E), then moved to an open G, then 2 (A), 4 (B) and Open (G); then open (G) again, but the goes to the 7th fret on the D string (A), followed by the 9th (B), then the 7th fret on the G (D) and the open D string; then the open D again, followed by the 4th fret (Gb), then open G, followed by the 2nd Fret on the G (A) twice; then finally the 2nd fret G (A), the 4th fret on the A string (Db), the Open D, followed by the 1st fret (Eb) and the 2nd fret (E).
I got the timing down to where it fit in the song and it sounds great, but I have no idea where it came from.

yo i have that bass and also shake my bass up and down keeping rhythm with right foot lol
Your tab is almost perfect. Except that you put sixteenth rests before each up beat for the main riff as well as there should be any notes on the and of four except for a sixteenth note that happens before the chorus. During the save me part during the second verse and solo it also jumps up an octave on the second repeat. This tab works, but it's not exact.

@@SamboatMusicBassCovers ok thanks I some time like to re tab these I found out with guitar pro if you have a sound like this in Eb if you go into guitar pro and adjust it to 5 string and click readjust fingers it will set it up for 5 string playing. Love watching your videos I’ve learned a lot in the past 6 months since I started playing. I just need to start learning to play by ear. So I can figure out a song (cover) by Sven Gali called spellbound. Cool song. Keep it going Sam you inspire a lot of us.
