You CRACK ME UP 🤣 EVERYTIME you "Louis is a 'lie' and the truth AIN'T ☝🏾😤 in him!" Louis was SO savage towards Lestat in this episode (ok --- EVERY 🙄 episode!) when he told Lestat: "That's why you'll always be alone 🙎🏾‍♂️!" I was like D-D-D-DAMN, Louis 😳! And then when he said "Because of YOU (meaning Lestat), I've lost my family, a chance a (mortal) life, & NOW I'm bout to lose the last thing (meaning the Azaelia) that means anything to me! That was totally uncalled for & Louis said the 1 ☝🏾 THING he KNEW would cut through Lestat's bravado, straight to his core by threatening him with loneliness. If I was Leatat, I would have been like: "The 'last' thing you have that's of importance? You didn't mention me as the 1 thing you had left to live for!" Chile, all I got to say is Louis betta be happy that 'vampire loneliness ' is the 1 thing that can hem Lestat up cuz I would've told his a$$ quick, fast, & in a HURRY that: "Ba-BAY . . . you wanna rifle off below-the-belt shots 💥 🔫 ?? O-K . . . I was alone for a century b4 I met you. I'll bury myself in the Earth again if I have to & my 💵 will still be making MORE 💰 for me WHILE I'm yet sleeping & will be waiting for me to pick right up where I left off if I decide to resurrect myself 2 CENTURIES from now! Meanwhile, YOU can't be without a man for 2 minutes, MUCHLESS 2 centuries! And last I checked 🤔, you WILLINGLY accepted the dark gift 🩸🎁 from me after you WITNESSED me murder your 2 favorite priest in a church, no less. So don't blame me for YOUR choices! 🙎🏼"
And then the zinger was that Louis had THE NERVE 2 tell Claudia to accept responsibility for HER choices when she called him out for choosing Armand over her, talkin bout "Sit in your choices, Lil' Sister!" When Louis ain't sat in nothin but denial his entire existence up until that point. As if he don't know the entire & ONLY reason Claudia is going through her constant turmoil is because of him "turning" her. He JUST told that girl it was him and her; her & him 4 episodes prior & NOW it's him & Armand; Armand & him!!
I'm sorry, but I've hated Louis these entire 2 seasons. Just cuz he finally couldn't had no choice BUT 2 confront his selfish ways at the end of season 2 & we t on am apology tour while Leatat was bout to go on a REAL tour 🎸 doesn't exonerate him in my book . And yeah, Armand played with his memory, but Armand was responsible for ALL of Louis choices --- especially the 1s he made b4 he even met Armand!
Well, let me stop lying . . . I DID like Louis 2xs during this series & both times were in Season 1 --- when he chomped on that Saltine 👨🏻 who called him an "exceptional kneegrow" - when he Candyman'd 🪝 The Alderman 🧑🏻‍🦳 tub-o'-lard a$$ & hung that "Wytes Only" sign round his neck when he strung his a$$ up on them City Hall gates 🤣!
But, yeah, Honey. The end of this episode was the beginning of the end with him finding Claudia 👧🏽, aka his daughter, aka his replacement lil' sister, aka his throw pillow, aka the shingle that blew off his & Lestat's roof, aka his "band-aid 🩹 baby."
I also think although went to eating animals exclusively during this time cuz he couldn't bring himself to 'hunt human' anymore, once he realized it diminished his libido to constantly partake of inferior animal 🩸, he continued to do it cuz he wanted to have an excuse to not f🖕🏽ck 🛏️ Lestat cuz as we know, Louis' go to form of punishing others is to withhold his love 💕 & affection towards them & he knew Lestat was hooked on his love 🍑 the same way the character of 'Sister 💃🏽' from the movie Sparkle was hooked on her man's 🍆 in that film! Louis don't mind sewing IT up to be spiteful even if that means his itch don't get scratched in the process.
That's why I'm probably the only person who didn't feel bad when he got his a$$ tossed around that house like that cop 👮🏿‍♂️ in that movie "Brightburn" & got his a$$ dropped from the 7th Heaven 🌌. He kept pokin' Lestat's weakspot --- UNPROVOKED, & Lestat reached his breaking point. Especially after how we hear the conversation he & Lestat had that Claudia was privy to hearing during the fight where Louis threatened to kyll Lestat?
And call me what you wanna but Louis would have HAD 2 kyll me to stop me from draggin' dat a$$ after he acting like he was gonna leave me for someone else --- child or not --- when I stood by your stingy bussy, verbally abusive & emotionally withholding a$$ for 7yrs while you mourned the absence of the person who RIGHTFULLY left your (and my) a$$? Now they show up out-the-blue & you gonna leave me for the main cause (aside from your narcissism) OF your grief. Yeah, Honey . . . we would have been the 1st vampiric 🧛🏼🧛🏾‍♂️ couple to have lur own episode on Own Network's "Snapped 📺" cuz I would have broken at least 1 of the Great Laws THAT night!
It's very hard (though I have countless times cuz it's just so beautiful) for me to watch Season 1 cuz to watch Louis just verbally & emotionally abuse & neglect Lestat episode after episode just exasperates my spirit. It's "too close to home" in terms of mirroring my relationship with my narcissistic parents. But that's a WHOLE OTHA talk show 😑 . . . .

@@abhishekpackage-pg8lc Chile 🙄 . . . Long as you only give fictional characters "get-out-of-jail-free passes 🎟" to fictional characters & not people in your actual life, I guess . . .

It's a lot to put on another person, even someone that is a child to be someone's redemption. It's a clue to the audience that rather than Louis self reflecting and do the internal work, he would rather have someone else to "save him."

i'm like cicely tyson, annalise's mother in how to get away with murder: someone is always the student and some is always the teacher. that's how sex works.

I will never be able to even entertain the idea of liking Lestat, idc idc lol. Louis was having a whole identity crisis and naturally feeling disgusted at his nature(vampirism) and because he wasn't giving up the booty Lestat chose to scratch his itch with some plain jane🙄. Lestat telling him to basically get over himself and stop fighting what he's become is so shallow and tone-deaf. How is one supposed to adapt to becoming a bloodthirsty killer and predator?? Is there a manual or how-to-guide that got lost in Lestat's travels to the U.S.? And then you have the audacity to get jealous and upset because Louis was frollicking in the bushes with an old "flame"😏 boy bye🤣.

"How is one supposed to adapt to becoming a bloodthirsty killer and predator??” I think you’re forgetting Lestat did not want to become a Vampire, he says this to Louis and Claudia in episode 1x6, he told them how his maker Magnus threw himself into the fire as soon as he was turned so Lestat had no how-to-guide on becoming a vampire and a predator. We don’t know how Lestat took to vampirism in his early days without Magnus yet (well I do know bc of the books) and we will get that backstory in season 3. Who knows maybe lestat was projecting onto Louis and how he was going to act based on his own experience. Anyways, the point I’m trying to make is that Lestat miscalculated that Louis would take to vampirism because he saw him pull a knife on Paul and because he courted Louis for months prior to turning him at the church scene, and I think Lestat in this episode is realizing this miscalculation and he’s trying to get Louis to open himself up to this new life by killing criminals but Louis refuses to even attack criminals because as he says in season 2, he treated the dark gift like a curse. Louis character arc is about coming to terms with himself, accepting himself both in terms of sexuality and vampirism, his story was about making the best out of the gift that lestat gave him so he could move past his shame.
I’m not saying Lestat is innocent, he could have handled the entire situation differently but knowing what I know about his character he acts before thinking because he’s so confident that things will turn out the way he wants but that is also a result of his own past and trauma. Can’t wait for s3.
