- This video is about the little but mighty Radical RXC Turbo of the Radical Italia/Uk Racing team and it has been upgraded with the Turbo 500 kit, recently unveiled in Geneva. With this kit 3.5 litre twin-turbo Ford EcoBoost V6 engine increase its power from 450bhp to 530bhp at 6100 rpm and a max torque of 652 Nm at 5000 rpm. The car is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0-60 mph) in just 2.6 seconds.
In this video you can see the car in action at Monza Circuit during a track day and around the streets of Monaco during the Top Marques 2015 event.

It's perfect.
The car may have slicks on it, but at the same time it is completely street legal.

You get two set of tyres with it, slicks and street legal semi slicks.
Be interesting to see if this can beat its predecessor's Ring lap record of 6:48 from 2009.
It's "road legal" but, I'd like to see them go over anything resembling a speed bump.

Would it make sense to have the intake air watercooled on a Turbo Car?
Charge coolers do this but aren't general as efficient as an intercooler and also more complicated/unreliable. Charge coolers work well in some cars where intercooler piping would be too long/not possible to use. I hope this helps
An alternative to the Ford GT using a similar powerplant

Looks like the gears are really short , strange for a track car.
Sounds like they're track orientated actually, its the acceleration of the machine needing a quick shift. Like a motorbike.
+DukeNuggets69 I don't think it was a gearing problem, its just that this motor is so low revving he maxed out the rpm way too soon. The guy is probably used to racing engines that rev up to 12k at least. It is weird to see this motor attached to a transmission like this. The f150 6 gear transmission shifts so slow...I hope the 8 gear shifts way faster when it comes out.
