Super appreciative of this video and the rest of the channel. Just got a 2018 STI and have been thinking about basically every single mod you have videos for. Just got my FPR from IA today (also because of Eric from Torqued) and this video will make it super easy to install
Hey man great video! Mine just started having the stumble recently and it used to peak at 18psi and now it barely peaks at 9psi, will this fix the boost issue and will I need a tune?
Love your vids! SO informative! I have a question that I hope you can help me out? I want to install my fpr and boost controll solenoid before taking it to the shop where they are going to install my injectors. I have a DP, intake and Fuel pump install running on stage 2 ots map. My car is just sitting until I take it to the shop and then protune it. If I install the fpr and ebcs, would it make it to the shop without boositng. It is about 10 miles? Thanks!
Ask the shop to send you a map to get the car there. They typically can do that for you. If they do than just don’t get into boost on the way there and everything should be ok :)
Can you elaborate a bit on how it causes "a lot of problems"? I'm running a 2018 stage 2+ sti and it stutters and surges on both cold and warm startups. It subsides, but I get p0304 code on startup idle. I switched to a cobb fpr and that seems to have made it worse. Either a faulty part or just not enough to make the car happy.
The cables flipped around twice in the video. The alignment at around the 4:10 mark is not how it is at 5:18. Then again its back to the original linement later in the video when you install the feed line. So which orientation is correct?!
Did this fix the stubble or was it the tune after the install that fixed the stubble. My tuner says the stubble normally occurs after installing larger injectors not on standard injectors. Great video by the way.
Yea this did fix the issue. The main reason I did this is because my tuner recommended it and without it he was having trouble tuning the car properly. And are you wondering my current setup on my car right now or at the time of this video ?
@@BeeAboveAverage at the time of the video, because i am looking to put a Cobb DP, Cobb FPR, Cobb Injector 1050x, GS Boost control, AEM Fuel pump, Cobb intake?
It’s makes a little audible whining/priming sound but nothing that bugs me. It could also be my upgraded fuel pump and lines that make the sound more noticeable.
The damper is to smoothen out the fuel flow to and from the engine but that is was causes the fuel stumble on modded STI’s. This kit is redesigned by IA Tuning to eliminate that problem. They use the OEM subaru FPR for this kit as well.
Yea it definitely made the car feel smoother. I’m going to be switching my fuel pressure regulator out for a different one that I can adjust and monitor. I would recommend getting one like that as well over this one if I was to be honest with you. Nothing wrong with this one and it works great it is just limited for what I want now.
@@BeeAboveAverage quick question i am new to the subi platform, i have the cobb fpr and got tgv deletes fuel rails and iag fuel lines where does the end of the fuel lines connect too? would i need another pressure regulator bro ?
So would this be the same as doing parallel fuel lines? Like instead of equal length lines, does this regulator put more pressure in the longer line than the shorter?
I literally just bought this and I appreciate the video. It looks like the easiest mod that i will do.
Clinton Happy to help :)

Love the video was very helpful, quick question when going back to stock what do you use to replace that T joint used on the BPV?

Nice ! What about that little hose coming from the fire wall ?keep up the good work . Hoping you keep doing fuel stuff . The full Perrin set up .
I’m not sure exactly which hose your talking about, where in the video is it? I’ll take a look.
@@BeeAboveAverage evap ?
🤔?

Thank you! And after install it seemed to be a good improvement:)
Where did you get the tune and what is the website to obtain it.
Good job! Did you get your tune from Eric @torqued performance?
LJ Garcia Yes I did, had his tunes up till I went stage 3 + 🙂
You make it look so easy. Haha. 👍 thanks for the upload!
:)
Hey great video. I have question what set up do you have on your sti and did this fix the stumbling issue?
Yea this did fix the issue. The main reason I did this is because my tuner recommended it and without it he was having trouble tuning the car properly. And are you wondering my current setup on my car right now or at the time of this video ?
@@BeeAboveAverage at the time of the video, because i am looking to put a Cobb DP, Cobb FPR, Cobb Injector 1050x, GS Boost control, AEM Fuel pump, Cobb intake?
At that point my car had a ETS extreme exhaust, Invidia catless downpipe, grimmspeed EBCS, Cobb SF Intake, and the Ia Tuning FPR
hey man im planning install this mod with EBCS and DP+ ets extreme. i already have SF intake. do you think i can get 300 wheel on dyno?
It might get very close but the car most likely will start running lean trying to hit those numbers on the stock fuel system.
what size was that "T" fitting for the BPV?
Does your stumble kit make the grinding/whining sound every time you prime the system before startup?
It’s makes a little audible whining/priming sound but nothing that bugs me. It could also be my upgraded fuel pump and lines that make the sound more noticeable.
Some people installs it with a damper on feed line, is it for the noises?

Anyone get better mpgs after this? After tune?
Any advice on how to get the best mpgs from an STi? I know, not the best mix. Currently getting 21 mpgs
Hey man will this installation be the same with the Cobb FPR? Thanks in advance.
Enfiljay I believe so, they should be pretty much the same thing.
Does this hook up to the stock fuel lines?
That is correct :)
wassup bro would i need a tune for this installation?
No a tune is not required :)
@@BeeAboveAverage perfect bro thanks you , any differences after the installation? i hate the lag as well

I would like to know as well
Absolutely not, this kit only deletes dampers and recirc loop from stock system, nothing more. You will NEED retune after this.
what’s the purpose of this mod?
Can you link the FPR KIT link
Yes here you go :) iatuning.com/products/fuel-pressure-regulator-kit?_pos=1&_sid=9f10a1c10&_ss=r
Does this require tune?
No it does not.
Fuel stutter 🤢 ewwweeee. I need this now
I made this part for my legacy gt for $65 and an hour of my time.
Penny Rose I know you could make one, but I didn’t care too much about saving $70
@@BeeAboveAverage they were $256 when I needed one.
Penny Rose Got to wait for those sales to go live ;)
Did you follow a form post?
Huge battery wow
Good job.
I appreciate that! 💪🏼
