Do you have feedback from others or experience yourself on the success of using the Coach Dave setups in console? (XBox series X) Tried manually entering their setups in ACC on a few cars as you have to on console but the cars handle terribly. The cars slide and oversteer constantly and are completely unbalanced. Compared to my setups which are basically the safe preset with just getting the tyre pressures correct. The difference between the car handling between my setup and theirs is night and day. Doing much better lap times on my setups than theirs. People talk of the improvements but are on PC not console.
Hi Lindsay, I’ve not actually got to trying the coach dave setups yet. I know Rory used them in his stream. I’ve used free ones due to being able to share them on stream. But I do want to find time to try a selection out!
At the end of the day, I’d always say use what works for you. It may be that the paid setups are requiring a level/style of driving that doesn’t suit us. And that may change as we start to learn and push our boundaries, but if you struggle, I’d say use your own or look to find some others to try and see what you think. ACC is quite different in handling to other games so find your rhythm and stick with it.
@@GopherCR Thanks for the two reply's. I've seen Rory use them and he's on Playstation running the Simgrid events. I'll catch up with him on his stream. While I'm finding my setups Ok I still need to be quicker. I was hoping the Coach Dave setups would help.
@@lindsaycripps1597 they might, but I’d hate to say they are the answer and then find out they don’t help is all. If you can afford it for a month, I’d say go for it and try a few! See what you think, if they work for you, keep going, if not, just cancel the subscription and go for the grid pass (because it’s great to have unlimited races in seasons 😎😁😅)
@@GopherCR Something terribly wrong with their integration on a console. Whether they've been built using a PC and the console version of ACC reads those numbers differently I don't know. They certainly don't work on XBox. Not even close. Like driving a rally car out there and the times are way off.
Hi GCR. Can you help me please? When I save a setup for a car for one track PS5 ACC & then load another track I can't see my saved car set up. And have to do a new one. Surely this is happening to everyone no? Don't remember this being the case. I"ve not played for a while.
Unfortunately because some restrictions on car setups apply differently to different tracks, it's a painful time getting a setup done for each track. I spent 30 minutes going through each track with my chosen car to get a setup entered so now I don't need to worry when I join a track.
@@leecrow2715 Yes... it's a little rough on the console. Although we weren't meant to be getting it, and once it's done it's done, so a little pain before being able to settle
@@GopherCR basically any tweek you make has to be done as many times as tracks you might want to play. That’s madness! So disappointing they can’t get the basics sorted before these releases. This game has been out a while now. Sorry not ranting at you.
@@leecrow2715 I get it, and this is the place to vent, I'll take it. It is annoying, but not all changes want to happen on every track, so it's not ideal to change one and have it update all of them... but I hear your frustration as you get going.
hey there bud could you please explain Grid Rating how it works lose or gain points. i keep getting hit of the track and i loose more points than the dude who keeps hitting me of the track
It's a tough one, I would post those clips into the discord and we can help see if there is anything you can do to help yourself in those situations. Grid rating is SimGrids own formula, at the basics, the more people you beat, the more you gain, the more that beat you.. but then it's about how much grid rating is in the race too, so sometimes it will be more or less, and less about how many you beat etc.
