Tim Conway always had this way of improvising to take the scene so much further than I imagine the script called for. The tidying up the table so after shooting him self so he would fall in a « proper » way was just the cherry on the top if you love cherries
Carol's expression when she said she was going to kill herself was absolutely priceless, and Tim saying "Yes you can," was just as much. This one definitely had me laughing to the point of tears. :D
I love to see this show again and again. Ever since I was a little kid back in the 1970s. I never get bored at watching it. They should don't make great TV shows like they used to.
Tough to find good TV like this these days. Back when I was 11, I would get up in the morning for breakfast and watch reruns of Carol Burnett on TV Land before going to school.
After all these years I can watch episodes of the Carol Burnett show and the Andy Griffith show over and over and over and never get tired or bored of watching them, they are the top in the classics
Pearl Glitterwave - You’re certainly not “weird.” You have good taste for clean comedy. Comedy that’s rarely seen these days. You would like Red Skelton, also. Let those kids go watch their Kardashian Show. Now THAT’S weird! Always remember this: Most of the kids you know growing up, except maybe your closest friends, practically evaporate after high school, when everybody goes their separate ways. So don’t worry about what they are saying now. Cheers!
Carol Burnett is a classic comedian:). This clip is like a spoof of the British Drama, "Upstairs, Downstairs" and this clip gives those "class distinctions" a whole different hilarious meaning:)! LOL:)!
I remember watching these when they first aired and all I can say was thank god for commercials. The commercials were there to help you to regain your composure and to whipe the tears from your eyes so that you can start all over again. I never laughed so hard since these days when this show was on.
Great writers on this show. They quickly learned the cast members strengths and played to them every week. The set up to Carol's face at the kill myself line is just brilliant!
I watch a skit like this one (and believe me, I’ve watched this particular skit a bunch of times over the years), and I wonder why Saturday Night Live can’t have sketches like this. This sketch is always funny and doesn’t rely on vulgarity or anything like that. It really is timeless! Some of the sketches on Saturday Night Live are funny, but none seem to rise to this level of comedic sophistication.
I know there were always breaks when the actors broke character to laugh, but I cannot even imagine how anyone isn't laughing all the way through this. Everyone here must have great strength!
Just when you thought this totally over-the-top skit couldn't possibly go any further, there's Tim with his really sad, sad, face. Then he breaks his upper class character with that cheap and informal "Oh, sure you can!" At that point, I just lost it.
I wish I could see my favorite skit again. I loved the one where Tim was a doorman in a fancy hotel. He wore white gloves and couldn't open the door. He climbed up on the doorknob and slid upside down. It was so funny.
OMG 😂😂😂😂 I love this! Thank you so much for your generous sharing...I grew up with the show and I have my own twisted humor probably greatly influenced by the incredible cast and guests of this show and a few others and Mad magazine. Thanks for the joy!
Its called corpsing and to me ranks among the very top forms of comedy. Stuff all the stiff collars who say its unprofessional, its the very opposite as even the best are prone to being human and falling out of character and that's the very reason its so entertaining. It also engenders them to the audience so its a win-win situation for everyone. And this is a UK remark!
All four comedic talents brilliant genius s love it beautiful also love the little competition between the two comedic teams Harvey And Tim And Carol and Vicky but they were all equal in talents
I can watch this sketch a million times starring the legendary Carol Burnett, Vicky Lawrence, Tim Conway and Harvey Corman who are both already in heaven. It is simply unbelievable to watch Carol Burnett's 90th year show and simply adore the great actress with a gap of about 50 years!!!.
I REALLY wish somebody would release a DVD of the TV special Carol did with Scott Bakula and Barry Bostwick, which parodied three famous movies. I can't remember the third one, but the sketches based on "Double Indemnity" and "The Remains of the Day" were absolute screams, especially the latter.
Unbelievably creative in concept. Korman couldn't keep himself from laughing hard at 1:07. I wonder if that was planned. When the camera goes back to her, you can see that Vicki was also laughing, just she had been off camera. I would never, ever be able to keep a straight face through these skits.
These four together were the best thing ever to happen in live entertainment.
I totally agree!
❤️😀100 percent correct!!!!😀❤️
😂
Certainly
Absolutely
This was classic! Tim, Carol, Vicki, and Harvey Corman are legends. Funniest skit ever!
Need more of this type of skits.
No, the dentist one is the funniest.
WHY isn't comedy like this anymore. I loved the Carol Burnett show.
I agree 👍 💯
Tim Conway always had this way of improvising to take the scene so much further than I imagine the script called for. The tidying up the table so after shooting him self so he would fall in a « proper » way was just the cherry on the top if you love cherries
Tim Conway and Carol Burnett facial expressions stole this sketch.
Yes! Especially the face Carol made when the lady said she was gonna kill herself! That was hilarious! Like "I don't get paid for this!"
The classics still stand the test of time.
Brilliant 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂😂
Rehearsing this must have been a riot.
It was priceless when Vicki nearly cracked up.
Love they're trying to feed them quickly enough to get them to stop escalating the fight 😆
No, they're doing it to make Harvey and VIcki laugh.
Carol's expression when she said she was going to kill herself was absolutely priceless, and Tim saying "Yes you can," was just as much. This one definitely had me laughing to the point of tears. :D
you're absolutely right, I saw her face and fell on the floor cracking up. lmfao.

The will be no other talented comedian like Carol Burnett!
Or Tim Conway.

And Carol is still cracking jokes. These guys made me laugh silly when I was a kid. Precious memories.
Simple and hilarious...SNL will NEVER come close to this kind of brilliance!
Mauricio Berdugo I don't even watch SNL
Mauricio Berdugo
yeah SNL is not the same
Mauricio Berdugo SNL is just crudity, this is comedy!
SNL can never ever be this creative and funny.
I loved The Carol Burnett Show too. I also like SNL. Two different types of shows. You don't have to bash one in order to enjoy the other.
Big fan of Vicki Lawrence. She looks great in that beautiful dress.
she looks great in everything... and with out :)
Torbjörn Brunzell 😒
Torbjörn Brunzell
LoveFlatfootin1 She is pretty.
LoveFlatfootin1 me too
You don't see Vicki trying not to crack up too often. How does she keep a straight face?
Perhaps because she was professional because I saw her to laugh many times within the sketch
So wholesomely hilarious back in the day. 😂😊😅
We grew up with these four amazing comedians! Our family just loved them. 🥰
Too wealthy to fight. This is beautiful.
Too rich and to lazy
I can never get enough of Carol Burnett and Company. In my opinion they were ahead of their time in comedy. SNL doesn't come close.
I had forgotten how hilarious Carol Burnett was. I used to watch her show every week when I was a child.
Me too, the high lite of my week. One of the few shows I was allowed to watch. I miss that show.
You could see Vicki Lawrence trying her best not to laugh!! ..Lol.. 🤣🤣🤣 ...Hilarious!!
Yes
And Harvey after he burped! 😂
And to eat and drink and have her lips wiped at the same time, she was struggling!
Tim Conway always improved
Yeah..great restraint ( & character work ) by Vicki; almost thought that was guest star at first.
One of my favourite skits with all 4 of them. Classic and timeless. ❤❤❤
I love to see this show again and again. Ever since I was a little kid back in the 1970s. I never get bored at watching it. They should don't make great TV shows like they used to.
You're so right about that. thumbs up. I love watching Harvey and Tim compete at who'll be the first to crack up laughing at the other. LOL!!!
Tough to find good TV like this these days. Back when I was 11, I would get up in the morning for breakfast and watch reruns of Carol Burnett on TV Land before going to school.
Norah Newman
Harvey & Tim, possibly the the funniest duo ever.
Yeah, they made a great team.
Yes absolutely amazing. Can u purchase all of the episodes on like a DVD?
Kathy Longacre
Carol and Vicky
Carole and Vicki Out Did Them great Duo
Service without cracking a smile, or a profanity 👏
I love the ending where Carol and Tim pop their heads up and go "will that be all"
After all these years I can watch episodes of the Carol Burnett show and the Andy Griffith show over and over and over and never get tired or bored of watching them, they are the top in the classics
Classic And Classy Talented people
This is insanely brilliant and hilarious. Can't think of any present day entertainment with such audacity. It's incredible!
AGREED!
Really? Have you tried?
@@pechaasure have, maybe I’m just too simple minded or something..hmm, oh well!
A GREAT show. When One adds how much Tim tried to get everyone ELSE laughing WHILE doing the Skit, full blown HYSTERICAL!
When comedy was actually funny!
Tim Boisvert Believe me I don't always know fine comedy.
Tim Boisvert It’s still funny.
Tim Boisvert And everyone template clothes on.

And family friendly. I remember we would, as a family, sit down on Saturday evening and watch Carol Burnette. Good times.
This one’s my one of my favorites!!! I’m 14 and some kids think I’m weird for watching a show this old
This is the greatest comedy of all time
Pearl Glitterwave As us Millenials i like watching old tv shows like this. And some old school movies. 😆
Same! I've been watching this show for my whole life and have loved it, but none of my friends know what it is
Pearl Glitterwave - You’re certainly not “weird.” You have good taste for clean comedy. Comedy that’s rarely seen these days. You would like Red Skelton, also. Let those kids go watch their Kardashian Show. Now THAT’S weird!

"Posh" you say? That's a rather strong word, wouldn't you say?
Pure clean comedy. Love the classics.
Good show good show.....
..VICKI CAN'T KEEP A STRAIGHT FACE, LOL..
Hush. Not posh.
@j00Ls j. No it is posh, a terrific British word.

This was absolutely hilarious. I enjoyed it. December 2019. They don't make Em like this anymore. Classic.
LOL...Carol feeding Vicky like a baby with the spoon.
Yeah, what a riot, i was in tears after that.
One of the few times I've seen Vicki Lawrence start to lose it, but she recovers.
These are men in dresses can't you see

Burping Harvey is hysterical.
I simply love Carol Burnett Tim and Harvey they're so hilarious they make me laugh so hard did I get tears on my eyes

Love how Vicki loses her composure slightly at 2:30, classic sketch :)
Mochrie99 Did not notice until know
It’s even better when she plays as Mama
Something like this could never be made today. Comedy is dead. Thankfully, we have these videos to remind of better times. This skit is hilarious!
Love this show even in reruns!
Thank you very much. All the best shows by Carol and her friends. Pure entertainment. Love all of you wherever you are or were.
Very original and clean cut comedy nice job
I was a child watching this show and still love it. 😂😂😂
I know there were always breaks when the actors broke character to laugh, but I cannot even imagine how anyone isn't laughing all the way through this. Everyone here must have great strength!
I love the sound effects they always use too. This was comedy gold!!!

We don't get comedy this pure anymore. Genuine.
"Sure you can " 😂😂
I couldn't tell that was Vicki Lawrence until she cracked up. She is an amazing talent.
Timing is perfect.
Loved this show. Comic genius.
I haven't laughed like this in months. Amazing!
The facial expressions of Tim Conway, especially, and Carol Burnett are priceless. SNL? No wayyyyyy.
I’ve seen this so many times over the years yet I’m still laughing at it.
HOW have I not watched this show before? Holy shit, this is hysterical.
Classics. Just what is needed right now.
Totally classic Improv comedy Beautiful Classic Comedy Stars
The cast from Downton Abbey should see this. LOL!
How in zip did they all keep a straight face? Brilliant.
I used to love watching this show . Love me some Carol Burnett. Tim Conway. Priceless.
Carol's face when vicki said "I'm going to kill myself." LOL! I'd have been like "aaaannndddd I'm out!" and walked out
Jokes are so much better in the past compare today. It is so natural.
It's so hard to find good help these days 💅

Talk about service that is above and beyond. Major LOL.
Dear God I cry laughing and hardly breathing at this scene!
I wish I could see my favorite skit again. I loved the one where Tim was a doorman in a fancy hotel. He wore white gloves and couldn't open the door. He climbed up on the doorknob and slid upside down. It was so funny.
This was when comedians were funny.

Really, this was not a television show. This was just a game they all played to see who could make who laugh.
+Michael Teter....... it was "BOTH" lol
Yup!! It seem they all tried to get the other to break up before they did! This is why the CB show was genius!!! (Great for us!)
Its called corpsing and to me ranks among the very top forms of comedy.

Oh My God! This is one of the funniest sketches I have ever seen.
Delightful. The secret of both juggling and comedy is brilliant timing.

Love this show! Brings back *many* good memories. They sure don't make them like they used to!
Because humans evolved into easily offended pieces of crap.
Brilliant.
I truly don't know how they all keep a straight face. Know me I would be losing it every time LMAO 😀 😁

*My childhood best friend and I were mad over the Carol Burnett Show!*
*This is bringing back some truly wonderful memories!* 😂😂😂
