800kg with 210hp, rear wheel drive...damn that thing must be fun! Amazing build, absolutely love it! This is like the essence of everything that´s great about proper BMWs!
One of my favorite YT series, absolutely love variety of pieces highlighted in each video and this is no exception. These are the projects I love most where you really have to dig further than surface level to spot unique details that make it special and the craftsmanship on this is really great. Not my favorite BMW model of all time but this is easily one of the nicest restomod of this model I've seen.
Please forward this video to the M design team in Munich . . . the OEM has strayed and needs to seriously return to its roots . . . notably small, simple lightweight cars that are great to drive.
These videos really suffer from the short length in my opinion. Like when Rob said it's time to drive it, there was 2 minutes left in the video! These are insane builds that could easily be 30+ minute videos. I'm not saying make them that long, but sub 10 minute videos on cars this insane are nowhere near enough to fully cover it. It's very surface level, and it's obvious how much is cut for the final product. Real enthusiasts want more, because the people that create these cars will probably not have a platform this size again to hear more about their build. I might go find them on Instagram, but when there's so much meat cut for the final video, it's hard to make a real connection in such a short span.
That'd be the dream. Probably my two favorite automotive youtubers. Mike still has a ways to go on the ferrari build though and I believe top gear productions usually take a while to film. Really really hoping to see that eventually though
Mainly because Mike it is still so little known and deserves SO MUCH more recognition for both his shop and his individual projects. StanceWorks for the win! @stanceworks
I heard it at Radwood and it sounded like crap. As a promo car it looks the part, but once he started it, all I could think of is it's about to blow up.
This vid is way, waayy below the usual standard of Hagerty material. The start is just one of many clunky, incongruous moments. I wonder when (if?) anyone will find a _believable_ way for a presenter to greet a guest? The happy surprise is *never* convincing. In this particular case, it's become simply ridiculous - _Paul is sanding a board with no dust mask!_ That's like strolling onto a building demolition site, and nobody has ear-muffs or hardhats. 😑
So cool. I like to know the name of the colors and why he chose these colors. Why is the front more white... This was way not enough time spend for such a radical build. A piece of art, she is.
I've seen this car in person and it's fantastic! Plus Paul is an authentically nice guy.
this build looks like it could easily be a several hour documentary.
Would take an hour to discuss ll the issues with the bmw engine and drivetrain and how unreliable they are.

Love this OEM+ loved that he hasn't thrown a Ls in it, it's subtle and to be honest rather classy. 😎🇬🇧✌👍👊
That French accent just take me back to my life in France and hearing my colleagues talking English in international meetings. Salut mr 2002

My favorite car of '23 so far...Fantastic work
Absolutely. A beautiful body and great power and handling
Work of art. Big respect for the DIY body and details
Happy to see a proper Bimmer on the channel, the diversity of the cars on here keeps me interested.
Wow, just wow! I love my modified 02 that I’ve owned 52 years but would go bonkers driving this one.
All done in the best possible taste 👌very cool
👌very cool
Paul seems like an authentic guy.
What a beauty 👍

S14🔥🔥🔥
Just Wow! Love it, and to do it justice, you'd need a much longer documentary.
This car is soooo badass.
BMW FROM 1988...ciao e liberi fino all'ultimo respiro ♾️
As a huge fan of the '02's I totally approve of what Paul has done, Rj in Oz
Insane!! Bravo paulo!
since you mentioned S14 powered I was expecting a SR20 under the hood😂but amazing build nonetheless
This car is perfect!
That car is so wonderfully clean. Beautiful execution. I bet it rips too!
BRAVO!
Paul is french. Paul is the best. Tout est dit!
Yes it is!
What a beauty
A beautiful mesh of old and modern tech. Wow👍

Love everything except the front valence
Wonderfully reimagined and executed. It must be a joy to drive.
Art work at it's best.
no one ever said " the devil is in the details" was a bad thing. like no one ever
I dont care about bmw's but this is beautiful!

This is is avery cool built and even without a really being in the car you can see that it is well balanced
"I don't know too much about BMW, but I do know this is a 2002" -- Man approaching a 1602
no redline? Patrick Snijers is shaking his head right now...
Perfect video.
of course
Very cool 😎👌
PENNY POTAPA YES YES BABY
More @RobDahm showcases!
S14 was the greatest 4 ever built, change my mind.
Waits patiently for Honda boys....
.......👀
B18c1 by Honda. And that’s that.
What makes you say that? As I’m looking at my K20 and K24 in my garage.
S42 if bmw. Otherwise yes might be the k-series honda.. :(
You guys need to do a video on the Stance Works K24 powered Ferrari 308
That'd be the dream. Probably my two favorite automotive youtubers. Mike still has a ways to go on the ferrari build though and I believe top gear productions usually take a while to film. Really really hoping to see that eventually though

First it needs to run 😂
I heard it at Radwood and it sounded like crap. As a promo car it looks the part, but once he started it, all I could think of is it's about to blow up.
Obviously I would only want it on the show once it's tuned and track ready
This show should be called tuning California
ITBs are probably one of the best sounding intakes there are
*how many bmw lovers are here😻?*
Top gear
Sounds like your short shifting the s14 or its not tuned properly? But i doesnt sound like it revs nicely. These engines are known to scream WOT
Great 2002 BMW Paul!
Have you done a Touring BMW?
When I saw this BMW owner using his turn signals at 5:57, I knew he was built different...
Music @ 5:53?
Daddy Dahm
excellent but needs more drama, should have got paul to drive it wild and then sponsor for some new tyres...evenryone wins
Been watching this show since i was a child
Thats one long show !
Love the engine and the body
Hate the front spoiler and the hanging pedals
Awesome build but wish it was all that light green. The white wrecks it for me.
Ficou linda
my first car was a little bmw 1602...
hear it banging around on the track? Another looks over function mobile.
Wünderbar !
Hi
Where is the old top gear..
what is supposed to mean handsculpted in the case of constructing and shaping an automobile ?!?
They literally explained that in the video.
Raaaaaaaaad.
Hola.
...... not the S14 I was thinking
😊😊😊
Lost me at the wiper omission.
Car has wipers. Just not on at time of shooting

Meh, EV West could have swapped something more electrifying in it 😁
I'd love to keep watching your videos but greed has changed that. Too many adds. Goodbye.
Look so fresh and still beauty than most new car..very cute car i think

The Green is called „Florida“ ,an original early 02 Color.
