@@propercushty No sorry mate, there is little value in reading over some opinions on the internet and making a video regurgitating what other people have said. Without having listened to the speakers yourself. I would reason that a lot of the people that arrive at this video are looking for review or grounded opinion on the speakers, not regurgitation. Then you go and make an AI generated response to a comment ? Is it that you simply don't want people on the internet to like you ? Put in a little effort mate !
APP and Firmware no different o NAIM, bought a NAIM Muso and Muso Qb, within 6 months they had Generation 2 out of both and no longer supported version 1. Still worked, still good sound.
Yes kef does add that kc dual 500 amp dual 6.5 sub for 1500 and that 4300 total amd u get low doesn’t to 9hz and set roll off to 70 high amd mid and highssound way better as well
I owned the LS50W IIs for a couple of weeks but I sent them back. I wanted to move away from separates so they were to replace my 26 year old B&W DM601s powered by a Marantz PM66SE KI Sig. After a lot of side by side listening and messing around with the App and placement, the main reasons I sent them back were; i) Bass was too weak and sounded a bit like the boxy bass from my Sonos Play:5 ii) Sound was veiled iii) Soundstage didn't match up to the reviews iv) HDMI ARC was glitchy - when watching Amazon Prime in particular, the sound would drop out and frequently Prime Video would throw up an error. I was using the latest firmware available in Jan 2023. The fault could have been with Amazon, Sony or Kef but I guess I'll never know. Given that every year, new products are released that are an improvement on last year's, I had high expectations for the LS50s. For me, they didn't live up to the hype.
when i heard the LS50 Meta passives, i thought imaging was tidy but overall depth of the soundstage left something to be desired compared to the Monitor Audio Studios...so i can empathise with your experience
Nice to see you doing audio again! I'm thinking about getting the Sonos Beam Gen 2. Would love you to do a video on this... Could save me a lot of time researching... Thanks
Thank you Jim. I'd say you're also looking well, but that would be difficult as I haven't seen you yet! Yes, slight change in the name...thinking of yet another name change in the future. It really depends on which direction this channel is heading. Take care of yourself buddy :)
Hi Man, off the topic of Kef speakers, what is your opinion of ProAC D30RS in a medium size room? It is a two way tower speaker. Can a two way speakers really generate bass? Thanks in advance.
Hi Richard. What is a 'medium sized' room exactly? Could you provide rough measurements of length, width and height? In my estimate, a typical medium sized room is probably under 60 cubic metres - if that's the case, then yes I think the 2-way designs can generate 'enough' bass for music listening. The question is when you want to turn the speakers up a little bit, will you lose quality? There is only so much a single driver can do. However, the Proac speaker you are suggesting is a tower speaker - so you get extra sub-bass output by having a large cabinet. In these cases, 2-way designs should be absolutely fine for louder volumes in medium sized rooms. I would trust a company like Proac to absolutely deliver in the sound department. Perhaps ask them what size room they would recommend for this speaker. The only thing I am skeptical of is the bass specifications on the spec sheet - it mentions a 20hz bass extension? I am curious to know what SPL they tested this at.
tried the LS50 Metas a few times with a Hypex Class D amplifier - judging by what everyone online is saying, the differences between the Metas and the Wireless ii shouldn't be all that big a difference
Hi there.
Will you add the KEF LS50 Wireless ii to your shortlist?
Probably a good idea to inform your viewers at the start of the video that you have NEVER actually listened to the speakers.
well, life doesn't always go how you want it 😂
Exactly, wasted 13 minutes of my time for his review of others' reviews until he came clean he's never even heard them for himself. WTF???
Not when you are wandering aimlessly through a review.
@propercushty yeah im disliking this. Don't review a speaker you haven't heard. Smh.
Yeah, pretty pointless 'review'.🤦
“My Opinion”…. “of speakers I’ve never actually seen or heard…”

How tf you give an opinion about something you haven’t heard! This is just wild. You really should have said it.
This almost seems like a review of a reviewer..about time!
Is this guy the only hi-fi reviewer that doesn't review the actual product but instead reviews other reviewers reviews ?? Bizarre !
you've just witnessed the most original hifi video on youtube lad - you should be well proud
That's one way of putting it !@@propercushty
you dont even own the speaker and create a review?
evet!
Really useful this, cheers.
Learning a lot of new things from this channel already, so tidal masters are around 300 khz damn

How you be able to listen pasive sistem if speaker, dac or amplifier brakes? Buy new ones? So it's same for broken unit active or pasive...
Can the kef ls50 wireless 2 also be used with and external amp?
I just bought them today. Excited to get them in the next week.
you sounded nuetral and objective; I understud averything you said (and agreed BTW). it was informative and entertaining. Thank you. (I'm sudscribing)
Don’t shot for the sake of shooting! You wasting lives.
reviews on subjective experience is silly - go and listen to them other people's opinions are just that.
i agree
I’ve got these paired to a T/5x, you can’t go wrong. Valid points with the servicing of them, however that is the case with any speaker setup.
How far are you from the speakers?
@@Karim-ik5ij 2.5/3 meters I think
Funny made me laugh when you were doing your Darko impressions 😂😂
Lol thanks man hope you're keeping well
You renamed the channel?
yeah - long story!
