In this movie, thanks to a larger budget, the animatronics were much smaller and lighter and were built into the face itself. Hey guys! I absolutely love your channel so far! The movies choices coincides with our age growing up, which is mainly what I love about your content so far. I’m also super guilty of showing my girlfriend the throwbacks she’s missed and I grew up watching. She literally keeps a list of movies she’s missed when they up come up in conversation so we can go back to watch them. I’m constantly explaining things while we watch and I love her enjoying everything like I did from day 1. Keep it up! Love what your doing!!!!!!
The reason why they barely ever use their weapons in this movie was because of the complaints that new line Studios got from concerned, parents regarding the first movie.
There was a teenage mutant ninja turtles rock concert back in the day too. As a kid i loved seeing that concert. Idk if it can still be found here or anywhere. Im sure its out there on the internet somewhere.
Ok ok ok.... you got me. Hey guys! I've been working my way through your videos, because you're clearly "my people", watching all of my favorites! Keep up the 80s/90s goodness! Rock on! 🤘😎👍
Glad y'all enjoyed this one. These movies were my childhood. A couple of 90's recommendations not mentioned in your video would be The Phantom and Mortal Kombat. Not based on comic books, but the 3 Ninjas film and Surf Ninjas are a good, but silly, time that represent the 90's. So many great 80's or 90's films to choose from. If you want to keep it light hearted, Back to School, Naked Gunn, and of course Pauly Shore's Encino Man or Son-in-law.
Yes! I loved these 2 movies when I was a kid. So happy to see part 2 on your channel. A suggestion you might not get is the movie The Wizard from 1989. It stars Fred Savage (The Wonder Years) and without getting too much into the plot, it involves his brother who is like a prodigy at video games and sees them make it to California for a tournament. It features so many great Nintendo games (even being what introduced the US audience to Super Mario Bros 3) and is what always made me want the Nintendo Power Glove (worth a google if you don't know what that is). Definitely a cheesy 80/90s kids movie about video games but the story is touching and I think you two would appreciate it. It's got a cult following, I think you two would enjoy it, even it if wouldn't garner a large response on RUclips, it's well worth a watch on your own.
I love this movie. Huge "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan. Very excited to watch this with you guys. I have the blu-ray 3 disc collection of these. I'm 3 weeks late. Sorry but I'm back to watch all "TMNT movies with you guys. 😃
The sequel is cool. It should've been Beebop and Rocksteady but legal issues prevented them from using the characters. A lot of people have issues with the 3rd movie. But I like that as much as this and the first one and I hope you check that out too
I mean no disrespect at all but the sequel is not cool. The first movie is great. The studio got heavily involved in the second and because of parents not liking violence in the first movie they upped the cheese in this wayyyy too much in this one. I am pretty sure the director and writers got pretty upset about the experience.
Can you tell me what you liked about the third? Cause it's terrible.. and the turtles look absolutely terrible. The less said about Splinter, the better
@@Eidlones Well we got Casey back in it for 1 granted there isn't a lot of action on his part but I'm happy he's there. Also I will argue this with anyone. That opening title sequence was the best opening we've seen in all three movies. Lights go on, rock n roll hits. I'm on board immediately. It also touched on a coming of age aspect with Mickey where he starts experiencing infatuation with someone else. All Fighting scenes are decent. The story is kinda meh and I get why people don't like it but the sequel is worse than 3. The third movie has things you can appreciate.
Jim Henson himself said that these animatronics for the second film were the most advanced his company ever created. I just wish they looked way closer to the designs of the original. That would've been amazing!
IDC what anyone says, I absolutely loved the second movie. Not as good as the original nor nowhere near as dark, it's still very fun and captures the humorous tone of the 1987 cartoon and there's so many funny jokes that I still quote today. And I'd argue the animatronics were at their peak this time around and really enjoy the redesigns. My only gripe was how anticlimactic the finale was with Super Shredder. Even as a kid in 2008, I was sooooo disappointed.
Had this movie on dvd and for years it was the only one of the trilogy I'd seen Its my childhood Multiple times a day I'd sit down and watch it over and over I love it to death
Some of the stuntmen do make brief appearances in the movies, like in the first movie, Michaelangelo's stuntman is the Domino's pizza delivery guy and Raphael's voice actor is the guy is the taxi passenger when Raphael rolls on the hood after the criminals run after they rob the woman.
I could kinda understand where they're coming from but it's not like their replacements were any better. They basically acted the same characters but were just different animals.
@gonzoyork1908as a kid, I loved all 3 movies. But now as an adult, the first one was the only good… it was all downhill for TMNT movies after that. The second one was too goofy and light hearted and the third movie was too cheap

14:10 Nope! They are not Bebop and Rocksteady... They are Tokka and Rahzar!!! XD They appear in the animated series, video games and have several action figures from all eras! XD
I didn't find out until a few years ago that Ralph's voice actor is different and it bothers me now. It isn't as obvious as Donnie's VA change from Corey Feldman, but it's super noticeable after just watching the first movie. Love how Shredder popped up out of nowhere in front of Raph like "yeah, I'm back. Ya'll threw me off a building and yo homeboy who's conveniently absent pressed the button on the back of that trash compactor, that shit wasn't cool bro"!!!
"Airheads" (1994); Brendan Fraser, Adam Sandler, Steve Buscemi (and a pile of other recognizables) are a band trying to score their big break (trying to minimize spoilers).
No, they don’t need to watch that crap. With the unbelievably overrated adam sandler! He is the most overrated celebrity who’s ever lived, there’s no other celebrity more overrated than him
Yeah if you look up some info on the 3rd movie they were trying to do a multiverse type thing within it. but of course you would have only known this if you had seen the cartoon it was connected to or read the comic book that had connections to it as well. a scene in part 3 gives hints within a mural that show a little about the other realities. while it was all set up with the movie, cartoon and comic, multiverse story featuring all turtles never happened.
@@DCFCfanaticas a kid, I loved all 3 movies. But now as an adult, the 1st one was the only good… the 2nd one was too goofy and light hearted. The 3rd movie was just too cheap, Jim Henson’s company didn’t make the costumes or Animatronics for the 3rd movie and they looked terrible!
Another Funny Reaction lol Ernie Reyes Jr was so Good,he did the stunts for "Donatello" in the 1rst one which "Corey Feldman" did the voice over of. Appeared as a character in this one & later on was on "The Rundown"(2003) in a fighting scene and still has it with The Rock, Sean William Scott & Christopher Walken & Dawson Rosario
While the first movie is technically the better movie, I have to admit I've always found the second movie much more entertaining to watch. I actually prefer them leaning a little bit more into the humor and the movie has always felt more "energetic" to me.
I loved both so much! Their tones were so different, it's hard to compare but you're definitely right in that the humor and upbeat feel of this one was fun ❤
Great reaction. This one is definitely goofier than the first, and the whole final Shredder fight doesn't make much sense at all. Still a ton of fun. Also, AMAZING Rock Band shirt. I still have my RB2 logo shirt from working at GameStop back when it first released.
I love that running gag of Donnie being unable to come up with a superlative that tops the ones from Raph, Leo and Mikey. I also really love the part where the Turtles play pizza football. 😂🤣
@@maplenutsreact What blew my mind is that Frank Welker (the voice of Megatron and Soundwave from Transformers and Fred from the Scooby-Doo cartoons) was the voice of Tokka and Rahzar.
You know, people always say that the turtles "never use their weapons in this one" but that's technically incorrect. There is a single instance where Donatello hits Tokka with his bo staff when the turtles first encounter Tokka and Rahzar.
Back when everyone was waiting for this movie to come out we didn’t have the internet so there were not many leaks and every kid I knew was so excited to see a live action bebop and rocksteady based on the previews we saw….I myself was highly disappointed when it wasn’t them that came out of that box lol
As I kid, I loved all 3 movies. But now as an adult, I look back and realize that the first movie was the only good one. As you said, this one was heavily toned down and the third movie was too cheap
Also worth a mention is the movie The Good Son (1993) with Macaulay Culkin and Elijah Wood. It's a psychological thriller about 2 cousins after one loses his mom and goes to stay with his aunt. The movie still gives me chills! Personally I haven't seen it in many years, it's one of those movies where you can't repeat watch it too frequently but it sticks with you like you just watched it last week.
Not sure, that movie would be a little disturbing for them. But after watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre, they could probably handle it lol But they really need to watch Home Alone first if they’re gonna watch a Macaulay Culkin movie
I got 3 classic suggestions for ya - The NeverEnding Story (1984) - - Legend (1985) - - The Dark Crystal (1982) -- yes they are all movies for kids, but trust when I say 80s kids movies hit different lol.
Fun Fact Super shredder is played by Kevin Nash who would become famous as a wrestler Diesel and part of 2 of the biggest clique's in wrestling The NWO and and Degeneration X with shawn micheals

One movie you have to check out is Loaded weapon one. It has Samuel L Jackson in it and is a spoof off Leathal Weapon movies. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have cameos in the film. Such funny film you both have to watch
If you like the vibe of this movie you REALLY need to watch Surf Ninjas! It stars Ernie Reyes Jr. (pizza boy from TMNT2), Leslie Nielsen (The Naked Gun), Tone Loc (funky cold medina), and a really young Rob Schneider.
Hackers is a great 90s movie (1995), if you're still looking for suggestions. Jonny Lee Miller, plus Angelina Jolie in her first major leading role. "Hack the planet!" 🤘
Great video! Funny thing is, I didn't grow up with these movies as I was still very young when they came out (3 when the first one came out, 4 when the second came out, and 6 when the third one came out) and my two siblings were even younger. I'd seen the cartoon, but these movies I didn't see until sometime in the late 2000s or early 2010s when I got them on DVD. I love them, but that's because I'm a Ninja Turtles fan, not because I grew up with them. So I totally get how you guys missed them up until this point. Please do Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie. It's one I did grow up with and it's a favourite of mine. One other movie, or series of movies, if you've never seen them, is the six Star Trek movies starring the cast of the original 1960's TV series. They all hit or miss, but those are movies I grew up with and they came out between 1979 and 1991.

Parents Groups are why the movie's more cartoony and they don't use their weapons. But I still love it, I saw it in theaters as a kid. It was awesome!
"GO NINJA "GO NINJA GO! 🎶 Woohoo! 🎉
Fun fact, professional wrestler Kevin Nash played Super Shredder
The actor playing Keno was the dude in the Donatello costume in the first movie!
I never knew that until recently… also, the pizza delivery guy was the voice of Mikey and the guy in the cab was the voice of Raph
He is the most overrated celebrity who’s ever lived, there’s no other celebrity more overrated than him
Great reaction guys not as good as the first
but enjoyable
The 3rd movie is… different, but still worth a watch
No it isn’t. Jim Henson doesn’t even do the effects for the movie.
@@nsasupporter7557100% agree
I find the whole trilogy humorous so much better than bays garbage movies
If y'all didn't know who is the Super Shredder.. He's a professional wrestler that goes by Kevin Nash. 90s WWF wrestling.
Another Funny Reaction lol
Ernie Reyes Jr was so Good,he did the stunts for "Donatello" in the 1rst one which "Corey Feldman" did the voice over of.
I guess that’s a good way to look at… yes, first movie is the best. But the humor was a little more refreshing in the second movie
Great reaction. This one is definitely goofier than the first, and the whole final Shredder fight doesn't make much sense at all. Still a ton of fun.
Also, AMAZING Rock Band shirt. I still have my RB2 logo shirt from working at GameStop back when it first released.
Oh heck yeah! Fellow Rockband fan! An original RB2 logo shirt, now that's awesome!!
I love there new hideout, one of the coolest in movies to me.
I love that running gag of Donnie being unable to come up with a superlative that tops the ones from Raph, Leo and Mikey. I also really love the part where the Turtles play pizza football. 😂🤣
Haha yes! Both of those really stand out in my mind as being some of the best moments in this movie ❤❤❤
@@maplenutsreact What blew my mind is that Frank Welker (the voice of Megatron and Soundwave from Transformers and Fred from the Scooby-Doo cartoons) was the voice of Tokka and Rahzar.
What!? Well now my mind is ALSO blown hahaha@@Rainbow.Pegacorn.Cosplay
@@maplenutsreact Its amazing what you learn in geek culture
You know, people always say that the turtles "never use their weapons in this one" but that's technically incorrect. There is a single instance where Donatello hits Tokka with his bo staff when the turtles first encounter Tokka and Rahzar.
It's almost a sin to watch this without a hot slice of 🍕🍕🍕🍕
Back when everyone was waiting for this movie to come out we didn’t have the internet so there were not many leaks and every kid I knew was so excited to see a live action bebop and rocksteady based on the previews we saw….I myself was highly disappointed when it wasn’t them that came out of that box lol
despite the absurdity of this movie, they still maker Shredder, fundamentally evil villain, serious in virtually all scenes
Man I loved this movie when I was a kid!
We need a crossover where the turtles fight Ivan Ooze from Power Rangers.
They did that already.
Go in Peace and Walk with God. 😎 👍
@@BigGator5 Or Mortal Kombat
@@BigGator5 Master Splinter & Lord Raiden Should Team up Together
This one was heavily toned down and more kid friendly than the first. Notice the Turtles never actually use their weapons in this.
As I kid, I loved all 3 movies. But now as an adult, I look back and realize that the first movie was the only good one. As you said, this one was heavily toned down and the third movie was too cheap
The stunt actor for Rafael also voiced the character.
But after watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre, they could probably handle it lol
But they really need to watch Home Alone first if they’re gonna watch a Macaulay Culkin movie
Elephant in the room: So yea...ya gonna watch part 3? Because it's (how you say) not too good.
Hellyea I've always said ninja slice too when this came out. I'm a mid 80s thru the 90s wild child. Lol.
I got 3 classic suggestions for ya - The NeverEnding Story (1984) - - Legend (1985) - - The Dark Crystal (1982) -- yes they are all movies for kids, but trust when I say 80s kids movies hit different lol.
I was 10 when this movie came out and it was so perfect :) 1991 is my absolute favorite year, for many reasons...
Disagree, the first movie from 1990 was perfect… they all sucked after that
@@nsasupporter7557 The first one will always be my absolute favorite.
@@dandaris2153 when I was a kid, I loved all 3 movies. But now that I’m an adult, I look back and realize the first one was the only good one
Casey's back in Turtles 3.
Oh no way!!! You just got me so excited!
Yes, but he had absolutely no point in it. He might as well have not been in it
Hope you two are having an great and awesome day ❤
Awwww you're just the best ❤❤❤
What you don't know is Kino the pizza guy played Donnie in the 1st TMNT.. I still like this movie
The wrestler Kevin Nash played super Shredder that dude is huge in real life
Fun Fact Super shredder is played by Kevin Nash who would become famous as a wrestler Diesel and part of 2 of the biggest clique's in wrestling The NWO and and Degeneration X with shawn micheals
GO NINJA GO NINJA GO!!!🎤😉🤣

i luv teenage mutant ninja turtles 2 : the secret of the ooze [1991] film - first time watching -movie reaction !!!!
Okay, now you need to do "surf ninjas" a good comedy that came out a year or two after this.
One movie you have to check out is Loaded weapon one. It has Samuel L Jackson in it and is a spoof off Leathal Weapon movies. The
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have cameos in the film. Such funny film you both have to watch
Wait, 4 days ago?!?! How did I miss this upload!
Welp, I'll be waiting for the vid of your two doing the ninja dance!
Hahaha we've got some dance choreography to practice then!
I subscribed yesterday in hopes you’d cover this movie lol
Haha I'm so glad!! ❤
I love these 3 90s films, I actually like the modern ones too tbh.😏💚💚💚 .
Good to know! I would love to watch those ones as well!
Totally forgot this movie existed. Lol. ✌️
The Super Shredder was played by WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash
Keno was the actor for Ralph in the first movie
