Execution of ruthless Nazi torturer of the Small Fortress in Theresienstadt Ghetto - Heinrich Jöckel

Heinrich Jöckel was born on the 10th of July 1899 in Offenbach am Main then part of the German Empire.
Jöckel was a calligrapher and a car painter by profession and after his studies he joined the Guard Regiment for full-time military service. He was then engaged in combat during the First World War, which began on 28 July 1914. After the surrender of Germany on 11 November 1918, he was discharged from the army and returned to Offenbach, where he remained unemployed. From the middle of 1919 to the beginning of 1925, he worked in various workshops and factories as a manual worker. He then opened his own painting workshop but had to close it four years later because of the world economic crisis.
