Thanks Slow 335i. We’ll keep cranking the vids out and hopefully more people will keep finding us. It gives us a chance to keep learning how to make better videos before too many people see us 😂
Zero To 60 it’s xdrive so none of the downpipes fit and the one that is made for xdrive, is very small because of clearance issues so really there is no point of modifying the damn thing.
Ohhhh snap! Yeah xdrive makes things difficult on the 5 series platform. It’s a bit junk yard but what about getting someone’s stock downpipes that have the cats blown out? When I switch mine my front downpipes cat was pretty much hallow. Would be so cool to see a 5 series wags running decent power.
It’s mega. But it’s fixed a problem, well it’s basically doubled the fuel pressure and support from dorch has been rather impressive. You get what you pay for.
@@ZeroTo60Tube its stage 1+ right now with dual cones and FMIC chargepipe with BOV, but previous owner did all kinds of suspension goodies at a super high quality
Ohhh b58 on e blends would be insane. I want a b58 sooooo badly! Haha here’s a question, what do you think is the better engine b58 or the older s55? Better in terms of tunability/reliability.
I think I might be with you...... In stock form the s55 all day long, but if you want to wind the power up, I think the b58 and especially the b58tu is a much better bang for buck.
I'm reading with interest stage one turbo conversions. To not put more crazy power through the M2 N55 but give a better top end. I bet would play well with the HPFP? You guys looked at stage 1 turbo at all?
It has been looked at. Although these don't feel as strangled up the top end as the N54 stock turbos. It would definitely be a big help. Haven't found an option that was over appealing price-wise as yet. Have you found any you like yet?
It's something I may do way in the future as I'm keeping the car for a loooong time. Pure stage one turbo isn't too expensive if I e understood right I'd need an EWG version. I think it's about a grand here. It's more an OEM+ turbo than big tune and big power. Not interested in 500hp to the wheels car is pretty well balanced from stock but would take another 30-40hp I suppose.
Will you guys be putting it on a dyno? Will be purchasing an M2 early next year and will be modding immediately. Would like to end up with around 330-350 rwkws or what ever the turbo maxes out at
The owner probably will eventually at some point for sure. 330rwkw in one of these would be a pretty damn cool street car. Once the tune is all finished we'll run the logs through virtual dyno and get a rough idea on power.
Thanks man! This car is awesome. The owner does thing properly, no expense spared type of guy. I think his exhaust cost more than my entire 335 🤣. But it sounds amazing, goes really well and still very refined when you just want a nice car to drive. This video definitely hides the speed, she gets up and goes. Looking forward to seeing what it’s like on the final tune.
I've recently started using a ~26% ethanol mix of 16L E85 to 36L of 93OCT/98RON. This Makes a 99 Octane fuel mix, running the MHD 98 OCT Stage 2+ map on my M135i N55 EWG. I'm running upgraded NGK plugs gapped to 0.22", Wargner tuning EVO 2 intercooler and 5W-40 oil (its hot in Queensland). Logs are looking great, almost perfect, even without the downpipe upgrade or upgrade to fueling. My HPFP I've only ever seen dip to 2300psi during gear changes and during single WOT gear pulls its always within +/- 50psi of what the map is calling for. It's holding 16psi @ 10.4 deg timing in 5th @ 6500rpm with IATs around 38C max ~27C ambient. I must have got lucky with my fuel pumps, car is so strong, Ethanol also fixed a lot of my post shift timing corrections too. Pulls hard as from mid range 7000rpm. Certainly feels like the 650Nm+ claims are true.
Your car should be pretty similar to this as an experience, once it gets wound up a bit! Apart from the LSD ofcourse. I will shoot you a message about sunday later on btw.
How bad was running E30 on the stock HPFP? I'm considering trying it. Currently on Stage 2 FBO through Bootmod3 and no issues with fueling. When the HPFP "crashes" or sputters, can it damage anything? From my understanding, some cars' stock HPFPs handle E30 map quite well, others do not. I have a friend who's fuel pump crashed on a stage 1 tune. Thanks in advance and would appreciate some feedback on running E30 map with the stock HPFP.
@@ZeroTo60Tube You’d still need to upgrade the lpfp to maximize the potential of full e85. Right? I’m fbo, 6spd on e30 and i pull harder than this. I see it targeting 20.8psi

@@mariomunoz7167 I havent seen a strong DI only car. 650whp is kissing 800hp at the crank. That would require 130hp fuel flow out of each injector and i have never seen a BMW DI injector flow 130hp. No, but i have done enough draggys, to know it will be 525whp on a dyno jet and around 460whp on a dyno dynamic roller. The car is doing low 8 second 100-200.

Dct gearbox definitely makes a big difference. Great to see the fuel pressure issue is sorted. 👍

The lsd. Definitely at my power levels anyway. The zf6 when tuned is a great box, just not as fun as a dct. The open diff on the 335 is a fun killer.
