I got my drier installed and working perfectly thanks to this video! It's one thing to have an instruction book tell you what to do, but another thing entirely to have a pro show you step by step. (PS I definitely dropped a screw into my drier's bottom panel, I was able to remove the air duct tube to access it without pulling the whole back panel out)
Going from 4 to 3 wire, the 4 prong has a ground wire, the 3 prong doesn't have a ground wire. What do you do where the ground wire goes? Do you put a wire from the middle neutral wire to the ground screw
@@DuctTapeMechanic so there will be nothing hooked to where 4 wire ground wire was attached? In video there was a neutral wire to ground jumper when 3 wire cord
So the black and red can be on either side and the white is in the middle but was also on the left by itself before the green took it’s place and now together with the other white?
Hey bud this is a bit maybe strange question. So u have the same outlet for dryer with 4 prongs but only have 3 hole to plug into outlet, now can i use that same wiring to hook up an ac/heater 208/220v note those are 3 plugs 2 hot and a grnd, would I have to kill the nutral and used the grnd in the outlet? Thanks
Danm I had this same question because I also a Green ground wire connected instead of a white cord so I was confused of what to do in that case I was about to isolate it😊

What if I'm switching out a four prong and installing a three prong but there is no white ground wire. What do I do?? Can you answer that for me?
Thanks Buddy just moved into an older home and this helped me out. Just wanted to make sure what I was gonna do was right.
Glad I could help
Watched 3 videos before this one, best step-by-step video yet! Ty!!

No don't do that. 3 wires plug does not have separate ground.
