Bridge deck construction crane lifting a steel edge girder beam.
The Gordie Howe International Bridge is a significant infrastructure project connecting Detroit, Michigan, in the United States, with Windsor, Ontario, in Canada, spanning the Detroit River.
It's named after Gordie Howe, a legendary Canadian ice hockey player who spent much of his career with the Detroit Red Wings in the NHL.
The bridge aims to alleviate traffic congestion, enhance international trade, and strengthen economic ties between the United States and Canada. Construction of the bridge began in 2018, and once completed, it will provide an essential link between two major North American cities.

The heights of each side are dictated, right now, by tension. There is no need for them to be the same height right now. Pulling one side tighter will raise the deck. For those who keep asking why one side is higher. In short, it doesn't matter right now. It's more important that their centers line up.
