Ray Porter's narration in PHM was 10/10. I wasn't familiar with the actor until listening to the book, but his performance raised the bar for audiobook voice acting.
Ray Porter is my absolute favorite narrator! Publishers, take note: I actively seek out books he's narrated. Whatever you're paying this guy isn't enough.
Just listened to the audio book, Ray Porter did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life in a real, meaningful way. The book, HOLY COW! Amazing writing by Andy Weir! What a blockbuster this would be if it was turned into a movie... usually I don't want to see movies of books I've loved, but I would settle for a low-budget version just to have some of the most exciting scenes made into a spectacle to feed my desire for more Grace and Rocky.
Dear Mr. Porter, You made this Audiobook POP! No movie will be able to compare with your ability to draw the listener in and keep them engaged. Thank you for your work and also the to the people who produced the audio for Rocky's character.
Nowadays I mostly only listen to books rather than reading them and I must say, Project Hail Mary as an audiobook was one of the best media I've consumed. Ray's voice, Rocky and the story combined perfectly. If you haven't listened to it yet, you have to give it a go.
You did a wonderful job narrating the book. You made each voice distinct, and true to their nationality. Not every narrator does that. Your voice acting was also on point, adding great nuance to what each character said.
It is my all time favorite book/audiobook to go to. Ray Porter really compliments the audiobook. I've listened to the audiobook about a dozen times. If you don't have it, GET IT!!! You'll love it. YES YES YES Jazz hands.

It's just so engaging. The HEART in it. I mean, Weir wrote it with heart. Ryland and Rocky? Their relationship is just--sigh. It's a bromance for the ages. You interpreted that heart perfectly. Man. Just a stellar performance. Well Done!

I'm a simple man. I see Ray Porter on narration credit, I buy it. Loved your work in PHM and Biodiverse. You are the first narrator, where I stopped reading the book because I can't stop thinking how you'd have voiced that particular line so I listen to audiobook instead of reading the book
I finished the audiobook of this a couple months ago, then I read it to my boys, 7 & 10. I interspersed my reading with Ray Porter so my kids could hear the master at work. They are still ending sentences with a question in them with, "question?" LOL
I'm really pissed that I didn't listen to it in english right away but in my native language..... When I found out that Ray Porter was behind it I could have slaped myself. Huge fan since I listened a few times through the Bobiverse series. Now I have to wait month or two until the story is not as present anymore before I can really enjoy it again xD Already wondering how he did bleeping noises =D Its gonna be amazing!

In fact I think I liked it so much Im not sure a live action movie adaptation would not do your voice justice. As I listened to all your different voice impersonations of each character I tried to match them to real life people I would like to be in the movie. Movie is confirmed for 2026 I think. Too far away imo.

Ray is the best. I've listen to PHM 3 or 4 times ... the bobiverse audiobooks 4 times or so .. and all of Dennis's books done by Ray. The only sad part, I'm almost run out of all the Ray Porter audio books... Waiting for book 5 of the Bobiverse !!!
