Dear friends we must not forget that Maqbool Sabri received his primary coaching of music from Ghulam Farid Sahab who had a childhood full of struggles. No doubt that Maqbool Sabri was a multi faceted talent but in my opinion no one can become better than one's first teacher... at the same time I must say that Ghulam Farid remained underrated...
Just a little correction over here - Ghulam Farid Sabri was never the teacher to Maqbool Sabri. As a child, Maqbool Sabri sometimes used to sit with his brother while he was practicing and the big brother used to tell a thing or two about music to him to make him feel happy. It was just a playful interaction between them regarding music and it cannot be called as teaching. It was from his father Inayat Hussain that Maqbool Sabri received his basic knowledge of music and that too for a very brief period. He received actual professional training from Ustad Ramzan Khan, Ustad Latafat Hussain Khan and Ustad Fatehdin Khan. Ghulam Farid Sabri had good opportunities as a child to meet the best masters in music while they were in India and overall it was a good time for him. But after moving to Pakistan he had to struggle a lot for his family (he was around 17 years at that time) and at that time he couldn't think of a career in music as the times were very hard. Still he kept on the zeal and took over to music when the things turned better.

Aur Khan sb Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sb ka classical Suno ja k pehlay aur phir Sabri brothers ka ja koi classical Nikal k dikhao doosra aj rang hai to Khan sb Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sb Kay Walid sahib Ustad Fateh Ali Khan sb ki composition hai.
