Fantastic truck. That color scheme was on the sales brochure for 1987 - both the FLC and the COE. I know this as my dad would bring home the CCJ magazine for me to read and I'd send away for all sorts of info from various manufactures. It was all free of course and as a 17-year-old then who was truck crazy it was great stuff. My mother insists she boxed up all that stuff years ago when I moved out and I never came back for that particular stash. Wouldn't that be something to see today!

my dad owned an 87 with the same style sleeper, same year, but in white with red stripes and had no external air cleaners. his also had a large wind deflector/faring over both the cab and the sleeper. i loved that truck. it has always been my favorite ever since!

I have a version of this hand crafted from wood, and painted in this colour scheme.
A local owner had one for seafood transport when I was a child!

Danny Barnett out Wv had a white one same thing 425 cat 13 it had bamm bam and pebbles on air shield off flint stones I rode with him it run good That was back in upper 80s early 90s

The Freightliner FLC 112 was a Mercedes cabover cab with a hood. I have never seen one. Otherwise Mercedes has done nothing else here.
