- Billie Eilish called her Halloween spirit Friday by dressing up in full costume for her performance as part of The Nightmare Before Christmas live-to-film concert event at Los Angeles’ Banc of California Stadium.
Portraying the character of Sally alongside Danny Elfman’s Jack Skellington, Eilish delivered “Sally’s Song” as well as the duet “Simply Meant to Be” from the beloved Tim Burton-produced Halloween and/or Christmas classic.

I was at this show. Danny was definitely tired out during the Halloween show compared to this one. But he’s in great shape. If this were a Boingo concert he would’ve taken his shirt off after the last song and tossed it to someone.
Danny Elfman sounds even better in person. Also he gives joker energy, would love to see him casted .
My daughter and I were watching this together and we both said he'd make the perfect Joker. Tim Burton could do his own version with lots of songs of course.

Danny Elfman actually sings for Jack in the movie, but Chris Sarandon is the actor playing Jack

There's not a lot of other singers I could think of other than Billie doing this song, her voice has always had that haunting tone to it that is so damn perfect for this. What a great guest choice.
Yeah she did an amazing job. I do wish I could have seen Amy Lee do it since she's only performed her version of Sally's song once or twice now and I would love to see her take up the full role but Billie did a beautiful job with this role and you can tell that she really has respect for it.
@@AlternativeLifeTV I was just about to comment that, totally agreed! Both of them are amazing singers. Seeing Billie nailing it here was amazing and very endearing to see, she did so well! I would have also loved to see Amy Lee as Sally too (the costume, singing and all), her range is amazing and I think she would fit the role as well. Her voice is just haunting and mesmerizing (long time fan of Evanescence here) and so is her performance of this song, so it's just so sad to me that never took up the role like Billie here with the whole cast. I really hope we get to see it someday.

I didn't even realize he was the voice of Jacks vocals. I just figured he composed the songs like he normally does for other movies.
@@bigcrackrock He did the music AND lyrics, and the whole script for the movie was based on his lyrics. He also wrote screenplays and recorded songs for a couple of movies that never got made (look up “Little Demons” and “The World of Jimmy Calicut”)
Catherine O'hara, Fiona Apple, Amy Lee & now Billie Eilish all have been able to do an incredible job on Sally's Song.

Jacks Lament has always been one of my favorite songs, 27 years old and I feel even more that way today. I teared up at the end!

It’s nice that they’re using the Jack Skellington puppet from Disney World’s Halloween fireworks show that they debuted in 2019.

I’m a huge fan of Tim and all his work, and this movie being my favourite of his, I had HIGH expectations 😅 They CRUSHED this! And I know, it’s not all about Billie, but she really served Sally and the film justice ❤️ You can tell she has a lot of respect for this movie 🥰

not sure about anyone else, but the traffic control was so horrible we missed the entire first half of this show. seeing the first half on video helps a lot for us who didn’t get to see this part!! so thank you!!

This is amazing, it's all done so well. Danny was incredible, the king who gave us our childhood ❤ The back up singers, doing the villagers were amazing, it was brought to life so amazing.

please no, this movie doesn't need a live action. Sometimes it's good to let things as they are and the stop motion version will always stay better.
