  • Huge thanks to Jake from P3 Gauges for hooking me up with this vent gauge! Today we're gonna be installing the P3 Vent Gauge for the GR86, which allows you to view a bunch of performance metrics at the click of a button. It's by far the coolest interior mod for the GR86. If you're considering buying this gauge, DM me on Instagram @nept.86 for the hookup!

    I like that thing. It would be cool if you could have oil pressure show up in it. Nice job on your video.

      Same here, I'm loving it so far. Being able to quickly switch between metrics based on what you want to see is super helpful, and I find myself using it a lot more than I thought I would. The device itself does support the ability to read oil pressure, though I don't think you're able to do so on the GR86 (at least in the config you'd get from the factory with the P3 gauge). I'd imagine it shouldn't be too difficult to hook up an analog input source for oil pressure for the gauge to read if that's something you're interested in doing. I appreciate you watching the video and taking the time to leave a comment, all the best!

    You need to change the exhaust and clear side markers lol

      Exhaust is coming soon, I promise. I recently put on the Rexspeed smoked side marker lights, check out the vid here: ruclips.net/video/j0Cwi6pMdTc/видео.html

    Good vid. What do you recommend for an oil pressure gauge? Needed for any future RTV issues. Thanks.

      I wouldn't know any off the top of my head, but I do know that P3 sells an analog oil pressure sensor that can be hooked up to the P3 gauge. Check it out here: www.p3cars.com/gauge-accessories/add-ons/0-150-psi-pressure-sensor/

    can you get it to show estimated miles left with your existing fuel level? that’s probably what I would want it to display all the time

    • @relatablerides
      @relatablerides  6 месяцев назад

      From the factory configuration that doesn't seem to be an option. The estimated fuel range is computed by the ECU based on a number of factors, and to my knowledge there's no way to extract that number as a value on the P3 gauge like you can for coolant/oil/intake/exhaust temps, as those are just simple values that run through the ECU rather than being an "artificial" value created by the ecu (such as fuel range).

    Any issues with the battery draining? Or does it turn off whenever the car does

    • @relatablerides
      @relatablerides  Год назад

      It's designed to turn off with the car. It only actually turns on when it detects a large change in battery voltage followed by a change in RPMs (0 to whatever your cars' idle RPM is). Aside from that state it turns off and doesn't pull any significant amount of power.
